Good thing I looked at my quarterly statement for the 457.

They moved me out of 4 funds and into 4 other funds.

Don't recall ever hearing of one of them.

They moved me into Hotchkins & Wiley Large Cap Value from American Funds Wash Mutual.

They moved me into Veracity Small cap Value Fund from Constellation Clover Small Cap Value.

They moved me into Artisan Mid Cap Value Fund from American Century Equity Income.

They moved me into Munder Mid Cap Core Growth from Artisan Mid Cap Fund.

One change I like is that Doge and Cox International fund is now an option.

Need to research the other four changes.

That is a lot of change for one quarter!!!!

Guess there hasn't been a ton of companies doing drastic changes.

Got my first prospectus and anual report from Hotchkis and Wiley. Sent off for 3 of the 4 at the same time.

And well it looks like I own Wal * Mart again; but, it is less then .88% of holdings so I guess I can live with that.

Intresting that their Mid Cap Value is showing REITS as holdings. Wonder if they are still in those? 2.47% of thier midcap.

Looks like my large cap is holding even more REIT exposure.

3.5% REITS and 2.1% Tobaccco

This prospectus is showing very minimal exposure to Oil, Gas, and Consumable Fuels. I do have two sector funds that are heavey where this fund is heavey. So with the exception of natural resorces this fund is making me more concentratied in tecknology and health care.

Owning a good chunk of Mc Donalds and Yum! Brands still less then 2.75% if profolio. Oops missed Alcan, Inc Metals %Mining 4.23% of profilo so it's not as light on natural resorces as I initally thought.

Intresting top holding is Insurance at 15.4%

Artisan Mid Cap Value (ARTQX) is generally closed to new investors, but I bought $2500 in my IRA 8/12/2005. Since then the NAV is up 7.4%, but with dividend/gain reinvestment is up 12.1%, which will get another bump during reinvestment before end of year. Its 3 & 5 yr history averages over 19%, 5-star Morningstar rating overall. I should have added more while it was down in July, because it has been climbing since then.

My 401(k) is at Principal.com, and since many of the funds are their own, they rarely change them. When they were going to close out a couple of non-Principal funds (including an Am. Century fund that had been doing very well), they gave us plenty of advance warning to move to different funds ourselves if we did not want the default replacements. Other times they have added subadvisors to existing funds. They usually make a couple of additional funds available to us each year (currently about 30 choices).
