This deal has been around for a while, but the savings interest rates have gone up substantially (to 4.60%!! - one of the highest in the country!) so I thought it a great time to post this.
Here's the deal - open an eMoney Market savings account with Virtual Bank (http://www.virtualbank.com) with $100 or more (I just did $100) and get $20 free! No catches. There are no monthly fees, no minimum balance requirements, and no fees for transferring money to and from your existing bank. This is just like other sign-up bonus programs at other banks (ING has done them, etc.). Very legit.
Virtual Bank is the online arm of Lydian Private Bank. Some people get nervous with online banks, but you can check out FDIC's website and verify that they are who they say they are (go to http://www2.fdic.gov/idasp/main_bankfind.asp and type in Lydian Private Bank - it shows www.virtualbank.com as their website).
The way this works is I have to enter my friend's email (that's you  ) in my account and an email gets sent to you with a special link to sign up. This is the only way to get the $20 - actually, you get $20 and I get $20 (THANKS!). After you sign up, you can also send emails to your friends - you can send up to 50 - that's a $1000 you could make!
So if you're interested, just PM me with your email address and I'll have the email with the special link sent to you! Easy $20!!! Just borrow the $100 from your existing savings and use it to make a quick $20!! Remember, this bank is giving 4.6% interest... that's huge! I'm planning on moving all of my savings in here - my local bank only gives me 1% per year.

These funds will be reported as interest on your 1099INT.”

There is a site that gives out Free U.S. Savings Bonds. all you have to do is do is your shopping through www.bondrewards.com. They reward you a percentage of your purchases back in US Savings Bonds. and after you get 50points you can redeem for a Savings Bond.
