I'm active on other finanancial forums and almost without fail, there is a lot of talk about Forex. Here at Money-talk, however, not only is there not a section for Forex, there is very little talk about it.

What is to account for this? Is it a function of many not knowing a whole lot about it, or is there simply a lack of interest in Forex here at money-talk.com?

I'm curious, which one is it in your particular case? -lack of knowledge about it, or lack of interest?

Personally, I have yet to find a better investment.

For me it's a lack of intrest.
"Personally, I have yet to find a better investment." To each his own!
One person might say that about stocks, while another person might say that about real estate and a third person comes around the corner and says the samething about own a few franchises while in retirement. If forex is what you like, great!
I could always use more education on forex. If you are have any suggestions or discussions about the subject I'm more than happy to hear them though.

Indeed. To each his own Smile I'd be happy to offer my advice on where you could learn more about Forex.

We have just started a new investment list that will talk all about it. In fact, for the first week's topic, we have invited a professional FX trader to share some of his thoughts about his own success.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join, -it's free- because everyone has something valuable to contribute to the dicsussion. The list itself is an investing list, Forex will be just one of many topics discussed there relating to investing.

To read more about our list "Forward Thinking Minds," direct your browsers here: http://www.ftm-list.com Smile

We look forward to your imput.

I agree with Coaster in his other post. Why is it that it sounds like a sales pitch more than anything else. Why is it that somebody named profitmagic and somebody named degarmo come to the board at the sametime with forex hype.

I'll tell you one of the first things that made me think something's up is this from the last post:

"If you are a skeptic about this then don't bother. It won't be for you."

I personally think if you aren't a skeptic of a promised new investment then you can seriously be taken.

Let me just ask this what type of annual return are you guys talking about here? I'm looking for a percentage answer

"change your trading method and brokers" Something just keeps smelling fishy to me, changing trading methods and brokers. Hum........
Why?

The way it's posted is that both of you guy must be billionaires, am I correct?

forex response  Reply with quote

Many small investors don't have access to the tools to analyze curreny or trade it, thus there is a lack of interest

In response to "Jaszbo" I don't know whose post you were referring to, but those are not my words. Also I know nothing of the other new guy you referred to who is also apparently making posts about Forex.

To answer your question about percentages, I earn 10% per month as a baseline minimum on a consistent basis, year in and year out. Good months more.

Nope I'm cetaintly not a buillionaire. Not sure what gave you that idea. As far the HYPE that you mentioned, hype is what I am trying to get away from. There is all kinds of hype out there about Forex. I have had enough experience in Forex to be able to seperate myth from reality. 2000 % or more per year in Forex on a consistent basis? Yea Right. Think about it. If you could earn those kind of returns for yourself on a consistant basis, would you advertise them? I sure wouldn't, I'd want to keep it my own little secret. That people advertise those kind of numbers is the first clue that they are bs.

As far as your comment about my post looking like advertising or something to that effect, no, it's not advertising, it merely my attempt to generate some conversation here about Forex. After all that is what forums are for right?

I placed my post advertising our services over in the appropriate section for advertising: "Money Making Opportunities" entitiled: "Professionally Managed Forex Accounts." You make it sound like advertising is a bad thing. If someone has something good to offer, then why not advertise it and let others know about it so all can benefit?

For example, you are benefiting from the conversation and knowledge found here at money-talk, but had they not advertised, you never would have known about money-talk. Nothing at all wrong with honest advertising. The problem, as I see it, is when people falsly advertise, that is, hype up their offering to be more than it is to bait and profit from the gullible and in the end failing to deliver what it is they advertised.
