I have been working online since March of this year. I was amazed at all of the opportunities out there! Most of which bring in absolutely no money at all.
Be very careful if you are just starting out online looking for business opportunities. Don't spend ANY money until you have met and talked with people who have become successful working on the internet. This will not only save you money, but preserve your sanity! Unfortunately, too much money is lost online making "someone else" rich! Be cautious!

The best way to make money online is to provide a service for people. Be it making them laugh or giving them advise or selling something, if you provide some sort of service, and you get enough traffic to the website, the money will follow.

Like Alex said, I guess it's all about timing...
I've been in online business for about 5 yrs now. I did lose all the money that I spend in the beginning but from that I've learn what to go for and what not to. And from that I've met many good people from online who gave me opportunities to join the successful business. Like Sherry said, be careful on what you spend your money on but sometimes you just have to take that risk.

As said before, you have to offer people something that they need, or might need. Its best to also make it something you enjoy, so you find it easier to dedicate more time to making it work. Whatever you do remember to add your link to your email signatures, and forum signatures if the forum allows such a thing. I mean, consider it free advertising... I know that post wasn't much of a help but heh, yeah I suck.

You can make money on the internet, but it requires work and patience. You have to think of it as a business and not a get rich quick scheme. Too many people fall into the trap of "easy money"

I found the "right thing at the right time" 2 years ago. It has itīs good times and slow times but overall I have made a LOT of $$$$ so I am happy

As long as your business provides a real service...there is a LOT you can do with the interest. I got this idea off the internet and it's already making me a lot of money.

I've said it before. Do your research. Yes, there's lot's of crap out there. If you do your research, and investigate. You'll find the right company that fits you.
Find something that drives you...besides the money. We want to get past the money. We want to get to the next level of living. Something that truley makes your heart beat.
Don't just do a business for the money. That's not the best idea. Yes, I know we all have money challenges. Yes, you will overcome those challenges.
You need to think about where you will be when your making six figures on a monthly basis. Who are you going to help? Really, think about it. What would you do if money wasn't a issue? What could you do to make a difference?
Have you ever thought about it? I challenge you to think about it, and share it with us all.

There are tons of ways to make money online.
I've been doing it since 1999...and have tried just about everything out there....TWICE.
Find something you enjoy, do your due diligence and COMMIT to it. The main reason why most fail at working at home, or running a business with the help of the Internet is on the part of the individual. There is or was a lack of information upfront to make a sound decision, or there was a lack of funding to properly begin their venture.
It's worth finding the right thing for yourself. That is something I'm absolutely certain of.

Although it can get very discouraging at times, and we have all been up and down that path in our internet lives, but the secret to success is to never quit looking because that perfect business does exist. Forums such as this are a great tool to learn from and be exposed to all the crap out there which hopefully you can avoid, while also finding the few solid and good businesses and investments that do exist via the internet. I looked and looked for years before finding what I consider to be the perfect portfolio of businesses and investments, and as you say, anyone can do it, just don't quit trying.
