"Isn't TSPgo.com a website?" on the other forum...
The minute you make a rule, there seems to be the exception. One measure of human development is to determine how much ambiguity and ambivilence you can tolerate, the greater the conflict, the more developed.
Of course, my fluctuating TSP.gov (oops, there goes that website thing again ) account provides much of the charachter development grist for my personal charachter fortification.

It would take up a lot of space on Tom's site if he did all that in the allocation talk pages.
Have you seen greggy's posts lately?
Yes, well, we've come to expect outsized posts there, but - still different fron pages of demonstartion charts when those could all be put together in another place - as they are now.
As to the outsize posts - maybe an automatic dispersement to a forum titled `outsize posts' - so when the computer chip reads large fonts or oversized pictures the post would automatically go there when the `send' button is pressed !!!
Does Rolo still play in these waters???

Somebody thought of that before you did. It's called Ebay.

That's nice, Dudley. Good for you!
Have you given your imaginary friend a name? Like Kezzy, Jimmy or Mr. McBeevee?

For the record, I found this site thru GOOGLE. Can't remember the combination of words.
One thing that bothers me is that part about PM's. Aren't they private conversations and how can you make rules about the content of a PM as long as it‘s not harassment or bashing. To me they are a conversation or a attempted conversation between two members. If one is uncomfortable then the conversation should end. I am here to learn and find out as much information as possible on this site or on others. If someone has info. to share I want it. I can understand not posting it on the “open forum” is in poor taste but if my “new friend” is wanting to share information in a PM..............that bothers me that it is not allowed. Smell’s faintly like........... censorship. And I do understand that you want to protect you interest if you own a “site” but I have been bouncing around from one site to another for month’s and I do not think it has hurt any one site. I use 4 different sites just for TSP. I luv’em all! I have also told all of my friend about all 4 sites and those sites will stand or fall on their own merits.
I just felt compelled to speak up. Off the soap box and off to bed. Good night all and good luck!

It bothers me also, especially since I was usually PM chatting with friends about stuff like health concerns. FYI, 52% of TSP Tom's members have NEVER posted even once on his website, and 94% of his members have never posted more than ten times. Maybe that's why he's so upset.
I don't get this don't post other sites stuff. Are you referring only to paid sites, or just any TSP sites at all? I can understand not posting other paid sites, but with this being a forum about the TSP and all, if there's other free resources out there, I, as a TSP participant, would very much like to hear about them and what others think....regardless if they're better or worse, it's nice to see as many sources and opinions about the TSP
oh, I found this site through google also. whatever you all have done, good work on making it near the top of the google list

so about those life cycle funds, if it's true that 90% never change their allocation, isn't it entirely possible they won't even logon to change their allocation to the life cycle fund?

There's lots of info on the TSP here. Start reading the posts from the beginning. Info provided by tsp.gov and info on other free TSP websites have also been provided, such as tspmoney.com which helps you in tracking the funds. There are also many pay TSP sites advertised here. If you want to advertise a site though, you have to follow this site's rules.
I was discussing the topic more as a matter of principle i haven't been through all the posts though, but I was trying to clarify the principles behind the matter. That does answer my question though.

As I mentioned on July 15, 05;
"We obviously don't know when the "fall" will come but I do know this. The easy money has already been made. What I will be looking for is a loss of momentum to the upside. If the rallies start weakening in strength, and the advance/decline lines can't hit new highs and start breaking uptrend lines the "fall" will be swift and will catch most off guard. Remember stocks fall faster than they climb. I'm still sticking with my very conservative allocations at this point, buying dips, selling up days. The F- fund is still trending down so I'm staying away from it for now. If I'm wrong and the market continues to go up strongly, I'll still make money although not as much, but if I'm right, I won't get hurt so badly as those who are fully allocated. The I-fund appears to have completed its base and may stage a major breakout soon to the upside so I like it the best even though the dollar is still strong. There are some signs developing that the dollar could correct soon too which would give the I-fund a little boost. Good luck to all, Marty."
From what I have been reading, S&P target lies between 1250-1260.

Well folks, even though the markets were down today, I suspect all things being equal, we will see a rebound tomorrow.
That is to say that the market may now be "building in" terror attacks like these as a fact of life.
While this is in one way a sad commentary, it does speak to the resiliant nature of free and democratic societies.
Good luck and keep your head down...

Tom doesn't do too well when he can't delete posts he doesn't like or puts him in a bad light.
Also, I don't understand how his YTD return is at least 2% below all 5 of the funds. He would be the perfect example of the person that should park all their money in the new L-funds.
