ANYONE USE TELEVISION ADVERTISING For Their BUSINESSES |
|
|
Having been in several traditional businesses, as well as online businesses in recent years, I know television advertising works, but I also learned how expensive it can be.
As one who researches everything when it comes to adveritisng, one thing for sure, what use to work yesterday does not guarantee it will work tomorrow. Looking back over all the advertising mediums I have used, I can relate to the market media evolutions over the years. We all started with traditional print media, newspapers which were effective, but less so today than ever as I have seen in recent years as more people stop reading print media, but rely on internet like I now do.
Then you look at radio, it too use to be very effective for many types of business, and I saw great success with radio advertising years ago, but this too has deminished as more people use DVD's or satellite radio these days, and who likes to listen to ads anyway? I use to change stations when ads were on, as I am sure many have done for years, so radio is not what it use to be either.
Then we look at fax on demand, wow, was that ever cost effective when it first hit the advertising market. Then we had email mass marketing, this too was very effective for many years, but with spam filters, forget it, most of your emails are not getting through, in fact, some experts claim up to 80% are now blocked because of spam, so even if you have a list, good luck getting your emails delivered, never mind read. Do you read all your emails anymore? I don't.
Then we saw explosion of call dialers hit the market and everyone hates to get sales calls, so although effective when started a few years back, regulators have finally put the pressure on, and this too is dying. We all know a website is useless without traffic, so with that, the SEO industry exploded, but for those involved, you know how difficult it can be with Google Panda, and now, even more changes making it a full time job to stay on top of search engines. My sites are constantly being hit and the latest changes are a major issue to deal with as search terms and keywords are being manipulated.
Then again, looking back, direct mail was always a good alternative for marketing, but this too goes in cycles, and with cost of postage on constant rise, this pinched my budget in recent years, so this too is a costly means of advertising now. Some forms of media will always work, but you have to know which are the most cost effective. Look at Yellow Pages, that was mainstream for decades, but near useless today. Most people still watch television, and cable market has matured dramatically since I first used TV years ago, so I started to pay more attention when I found myself watching more cable news than local media channels.
So in all my research, I find that television is still king in the end when it comes to all the different advertising choices we have had over the years. TV is king, and having seen the results driving traffic to my website over all other mediums, this is one you have to focus on in my opinion. So has anyone else used television advertising? When you look at all the drug ads on TV, you know it must work for why would drug companies spend millions every day on TV ads if it wasn't cost effective.

TELEVISION ADVERTISING LOW COST BREAKTHROUGH Technology |

Agreed, it is if you are not an advertising agency who can access low cost media buys, but that is what I found interesting with TV-Promotions, you can actually produce your own TV ads with this new online software,
I just got done producing my first TV spot and it took less than 20 minutes first time, much faster once you navigate and learn how to use technology. You choose the template, the content, background music, voice overs, etc., and bingo, you have your own custom TV ad.
What is even more powerful is the low cost spots we have access to as an affiliate advertising agency member. My first spot was FREE with the sales I made, so this allows anyone with any type of business to easily afford getting their business on TV to explode your website traffic like no other medium can do in this market.

I used to work for a large furniture store who used to specifically target using television adverts across bank holidays and weekends (purely because they tried weekday adverts but conversion was very poor). They used to spend around £80,000 for one set of television adverts but the conversion and increase in online traffic that they would obtain from these was huge, and we are talking over £500,000 worth of sales from the 80k spend. Pretty effective I think you would agree... (it worked out at around 20% cost of sale over the long term).

TV adverts really work although they are very expensive for upcoming and small businesses. I have to agree the Google Penguin Update has completely disappointed many website owners, it seems Google wants to remove SEO and award sites with unique and the most relevant content only.
