Seven quit this adjudicated pyramid scheme long ago. Here is the e-mail I sent to law enforcement that got Tim Darnell removed from the prison ministry. It briefly overviews the Advantage Conferences pyramid scheme:

To Whom it May Concern,
You have a Mr. Timothy Spencer Darnell leading prison ministry. This very dangerous and dishonest individual should not have any contact with any inmates under any circumstances. He is a serial scammer who has defrauded hundreds of people over twenty years and who has been involved in numerous questionable court cases and very serious threats.

Darnell threatened fellow church members from Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church and the McKinney police had to be contacted. Curtis Harrison was the attorney for his victims. Darnell was told by the police and that attorney to stop making threats. His testimony concerning that is in the document attached. If he had continued the DA would have gotten involved and possibly filed criminal charges. Tim Darnell was denied any form of injunction. Tim Darnell had not one shred of evidence to support these vicious lies as I had never stalked him or threatened him in any way. Tim Darnell filed and lost in Summary Judgment a frivolous, groundless harassment suit against the Better Business Bureau of Dallas. I posted and commented on all the court documents. The court documents confirmed a 98% loss rate for the participants in Advantage Conferences and it was litigated to be a pyramid scheme. Many of the reps they defrauded lost around $20,000.00.

Tim Darnell was involved in a scam virtually identical to Advantage Conferences which was also run out of his home. Mr. Darnell also had a stranger owned life insurance venture that imploded with no sales and was followed by an investigation by the Texas Department of Insurance.

Tim Darnell owes an undetermined amount of back taxes to the IRS as he sent in Affidavits and refused to pay any taxes from 1998-2005. He is still trying to resolve that. He has a tax lien on his home. He is also being sued for delinquent property taxes. He is extremely desperate for money with all the litigation he is involved in.

As Darnell has an extensive history of threatening and defrauding people and I have every reason to believe he wants to harm my family, I must ask that he be removed immediately from the prison ministry and barred from any contact with inmates that he could manipulate and use to harm others. These inmates must be protected from his scams, vicious lies and threats as well.

I think a short update is in order. Tim Darnell's pyramid scam, Advantage Conferences imploded into chapter 7 bankruptcy in December 2009 just as its predecessor, All Star Entrepreneur, run out of his home office had done. Tim Darnell, an avowed tax protester, refused to pay his taxes from 1999-2005. He sent in Affidavits instead of proper tax returns. This brilliant strategy garnered him a $97,265.17 tax lien for 2005 which was filed in January 2011.
