Selling digital goods online? |
|
|
I am almost complete writing an ebook in which I intend to market online. I'm no master programer. I just used Joomla to create my first website and I don't know much about setting up a pitch and thank-you page. I have already purchased the domain name I intend to use and I'm pretty sure I'm going to use the same webhost as my first site, MidPhase. I guess the question is that I don't understand how to deliver the electronic goods once I've been paid. I would like to set up an automatic system so people can download the ebook directly from the thank you page. Where can I get some more information on how to set all of this up?
Any info would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks in advance

There are dozens of affiliate facilitators other than ClickBank, but I think you still need to supply the downloading service while they just handle the money part. One that comes to mind is PayDotCom.
Another option is to use an Ebay Store.
Personally until it reached a volume I couldn't handle, a PayPal Shopping Cart is the simple method.

It does seem that Clickbank and other places do handle the money transactions but what I really need to know is how to set up an automated system so that when someone buys my ebook they can have instant access to it by just downloading it.
Moneyflow you seem to think that Clickbank will also handle the downloading process but from what I read they don't. Are you sure about this or does anyone know where I can get more information about setting up an automated system to sell my ebook? I don't want to have to email to everyone that buys it, nor do I want people to have to wait to read it once they've purchased it.
Thanks

All ClickBank does is take the money and forward them to your thankyou page where you provide the link to the download. Any further security needs to be put in place by you.

Have you considered having a password protected section of your website for your e-book? Once you've confirmed payment, the customer can be issued a login and password temporarily, or get a download link...
