Game tester job? |
|
|
This kind of job sounds really good to me, but I don't even know where to start looking for a reliable company that could offer me one... Have any of you been doing this kind of working? or do you know any good company that pays well for testing?
Thanks

These positions are extremely competitive and generally involve actually being physically located near the establishment. Nowadays testing on the larger scale is run through non-paid alpha and beta stages. Most paid positions require at least a bachelor's degree in computer information systems and/or game design. If you're really interested in it, I'd suggest contacting specific companies for more information rather than looking for a generic service, since primary testing is usually done in house rather than through a third party.

Game testing is not as fun as it sounds. Done right, it is tedious, repetitive and quickly drains your ability to enjoy video games as entertainment.
If you don't take the job seriously, it's a blaast, but you won't last long as they are really looking for results.
Todays game industry burns through talent at an unbelievable rate. So you won't have a problem getting a foot in the door. The challenge will be staying in the saddle - or even WANTING to stay in.
G'luck!
