What's a good bank to use? |
|
|
I'm dropping my current bank for a number of reasons but I wanted to know what's a good bank with all of the free stuff like free checking, free online banking and and all of the other freebies? A co-worker said to go with Charter One and another said Key Bank but I thought I'd check with you guys first.
Thanks.

I suggest you go with your local recommendations to start and check them out yourself. Each location will be different so we have no idea what's offered in your area.
Personally I use US Bank because it's all free and I have online access.

how about a checking account that has a 5.01% return for the first 3 months, then 3.01% after that for your checking account. 6 dollars return for any atm that charges you that isn't part of their organization per month, plus free web paybills, unlimited checks and if you're not happy, they will give you 50 bucks. Just need 1,500 dollars.
They give you envelops so you can send in your checks or you can put it in an ATM if you have one close to you. go to everbank.com and check out freenet checking and take the tour and see if you like it.
I like them for checking, but there's also http://www.bankofinternet.com/ that will give you 3.50% if you are over 40 years of age.
For savings you can look at ingdirect.com, emigrantdirect.com and hsbcdirect.com. I prefer emigrantdirect, which gives you 4% return and 1 dollar minimum.
