These are two different posts from the Fool boards (I like to cite the source and give credit). I like the HURC analysis for quickness.
Hurc is a cyclical stock that was down. I invested in it because it was cheap, had come up with a new line of machines that saved energy among other things, and was showing increasing revenue and larger profit. Over eight months it wient up 140%. The fellow who wrote the valuation was updating it for the third time. He had 20% of his money in the stock for the final big runup.
Hope this gives food for thought. There are a few more posts, but this is enough to digest for now.
