A question about taxes when you make money online.  Reply with quote  

I was just woundering if I have to pay taxes if I sell and earn money on eBay?

Even if I dont live in America?

If you don't live in the US you would have to find out what your country taxes are and how they are run...

In the us you would be responsible for any applicable taxes from money made.

If you are a US citizen, you have to pay taxes as if you earned them on US soil.

But you first file taxes in whatever country you are in. Then you file your US taxes, and you can deduct what you paid to the foreign country.

i think that depend lets say an example: I leave in Canada i sell on Ebay but get paid on Paypal (who is outside of Canada) I dont think i Have to pay taxe as longuer i dont get the money in the Canada (Correct me if im wrong)

That what as i know should be but i may be wrong

If your money touches any type of American anything, you had better believe there is some type of law that says the US has claim to some of that money.
99 of 100 times they won't enforce it. If you're not making enough to show up on the radar, they won't give you a second look.
But if you start making money by the 10's of thousands, believe they will be on your a$$ for their cut...
