That AMIR TAHIERI guy's a dumbass because - guess what, it wasn't suicide bombers. It was cellphone alarms wired to detonators. I guess you can burn that whole article.
It was a shoddy attack. It was revolting and needless, sure, but rest assured, the crazies who left the bomb satchels wanted more dead than the measly 37 they got. This was not well planned or well executed. They even left a few dud satchels that didn't go off. Amateurs.
Still. Bravo to Blair for being ONSCENE within hours, despite the risk. The man has nads.
The main point is: how has our effort in Iraq helped?

What do they have in common? Bombings! Clearly our "taking the fight to the terrorists" isn't properly taking the fight to the terrorists, when we're busy screwing around IN IRAQ!
We cracked the Mob via infiltration. We cracked the IRA via infiltration. Get it? Infiltration is the only way we are going to effectively combat this kind of terror.
So where are we on infiltrating AQ? NOWHERE because, surprise, we're in IRAQ! What a total waste of effort.
