Isn't this the advert section
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Had a thread rudly removed from it.
"Hello,
I've removed your thread called "SEO VS Link Referal". The reason for this is quite simple; we don't allow any type of referral systems, not for game advantage, nor for any sort of free items, gifts or for any other purpose. If you persist in posting this type of advertisement, we will be forced to undertake certain measures.
Thanks,

Hum, I thought this was an advert section.
Be intresting to see if this thread gets removed

Going to E-mail Lord Wiener and see if he agrees with his minion.

How very interesting that you would not post my reply.
Hi folks, I'm the person he wrote to. I am a senior administrator and the staff admin on Gamingforums. Here's the other side of the story:
You call that rude? Obviously if you cannot be bothered to read the advertising rules prior to posting an advertisement, you will not be asked on hands and knees not to post it again.
1. Referral systems.
Whether they be for extra score/resources/whatever in a game, or for a free X-box, PS2, TV, car or whatever, that doesn’t matter. You are not to provide links with a referral code in them, or link to a page and add something like “add this code <code goes here> as referral”. This rule goes for money schemes and pyramid schemes as well. They will all be deleted, and people who break this rule risk being banned.
Your thread contained the following link:
http://www.linkreferral.com/adwel.pl?oldrefid=66895
The boldened part is why your thread was removed.
In the other link you even talk about how you're exploiting a money scheme, also covered in the first rule.
To answer your question, yes, that is the advert section, but rules still apply to which content is desireable and which is not. the1chaos was doing his job as a moderator of the Shameless Advertiser section. I used to moderate that section myself, and I would have handled the situation in the same fashion. Different wording perhaps, but more or less the same way.

LW
How he managed to copy/paste the post and edit buttons of this forum into his pm is still a mystery to me, but I think my reply covers all relevant points.
I see that this forum has some other means of quoting text...nevermind, I will leave the reply as it is for easier recognition of my reply.
Regards,
LW
