iRobots. Roomba and Scooba.
Roomba is a robot vacuum and scooba is a robot mop/floor washer. I've got a dish washer and I think I can start making my own bed. These guys are going to pay for themselves in the next month. I was paying a $175/mo. for a housekeeping service to come in three times a month and tidy up, most of which was dusting, sweeping and mopping. Figure I've just saved myself a bundle over the long haul.

We hired Marry Maids to clean our rental unit.
We had a celing(sp?) fan that was way over due for a cleaning; but, we disn't want to risk our lives.
So figured get some professionals.
Good think I had the cealing(sp?) fan put into the estimet(sp?)
Sorry, can't seem to spell today.
Anyway, the "Marry Mades" refused to clean it. Guess Osha only lets them go so high up.
Can't say that I blame them for not wanting to do it as I didn't want to do it either!!!!
So we ended up getting our bill reduced. However, had I not gotten the cealing(sp?) in the estimate I think we would have been out of luck.

I remember my step dad walking out on the beams in our house to clean the ceiling fans. It was a log house and the up stiars was sort of a loft so from the living room floor up to the peak (where the fans were) it was about 25 feet. I'd say the fans were probably only 20 feet up though. He would walk out on one of the beams that ran over the living room and dust the fans with one of those bendable extendable dusters. That's the only time I was glad I had to vacuum.

The cealing fan is above the steps when you enter the house. So you can sort of reach over from the top floor.
So basically it would be a one floor drop if you fell.
My wife held on to my waist as I used some type of swiffer thing reaching at the fan blades.
Well the rental is up for sale. Yet I can't feel happy about it becasue making money with rentals was my wife's dream.
Perhpas one day we will have a rental unit agian.
