AroundTheWeb.com Directory looking for sites for directory |
|
|
At the begining of August I launched a new directory called AroundTheWeb.com
I've had this domain for a long time and just thought that the name would brand will into a directory.
This new directory is a paid submission. The price for submitting to this directory will be $15.
This is a only a one time fee to be a part of the directory.
I know many people we be asking about the 0 PR but like many sites/directories you must start somewhere. I am currently working like a mad man building up the sites link popularity and PR. But of course the results of my efforts will show over time. (does not update PR as often as they use to)
Google has already indexed the site several times and in being online for only a month we have started to get SE traffic regularly now. As you can see Here
and as you can see from the last BackLink update (Currently PR of 5 now)
The majority of the proceeds to this point have been used to help promote the directory by submiting to other directories like bluefind, sevenseek, searchturtle, and purchasing text ads on other high traffic sites.
I don't consider my directory to be in competition with other directories (I even use them for submitting my sites too), but rather another SEO resouce to use to help promote your site.
Please consider my directory and feel free to post any idea or thoughts to improve it.

thanks for the invite but for a directory with basically no links in it good luck in getting people to pay for it.... as directories are a dime a dozen now.. Although i do like your design.....
I will add my site if i can do it for free..... as i ahve added to several directories starting up for free.... I cant see paying for listing on a new site.... Just my 2 cents.
and would even give you a recip link bank to your site.

Yes I understand looks bare but the directory is growing a very healthy rate each month along with traffic to the directory which has been avg between 75-100 unique visitors the past 3 months.
People whow are paying and submitting to the directory typically are webmasters and marketers are trying to obtain Back Links with anchor text links in heavily indexed SE friendly URLs.

Currently I am not giving a way links into the directory. It would not be fair to people who have already paid for links on the site.
Everyone has their opinion and thans for it... Hope in the future you would reconsider submitting to this directory b/c it is not going anywhere.

From my way of looking at it, directories are mostly about the backlink, since we know that traffic levels are low from even fairly large directories like BlueFind. And if the backlink is the most significant gain, then the fewer other listings that are in the directory, means more PR for your backlink.

I beleive you are correct drew. as the more links on the page the less value it has but a link on a page 50 links links is better than none.
