I'm planning on closing one of my bank accounts because I have two others that I use more often. The thing is, I dont remember if I wrote any checks out for the account I plan on closing. I have a bad habit of not using the balance sheet in my check book. What happens if I do close it, and there was still a check out there? Would the bank still charge me a bank fee even though i wont have an account there anymore? or how long should i wait until i should close the account? thanks for the help guys.

Why don't you just give it 60 days before closing, what's the rush?
