Does anyone think that it's incredibly difficult to find wholesale providers. I have a distribution business, but it's getting off to a slow start due to the difficulty in finding wholesale providers. Any advice?

It can be quite trying as I've found. Of course, I am only familiar with one aspect of wholesale/retailing, but I can tell you that my retail company has had issues carrying all the brands that we would like to. We are currently an Internet-only retailer, but some makers require a client to have a brick-and-mortar store in order to obtain an account and other makers require certain types of licenses that require a few years of education. Also there can be the big outlay of money to reach the minimum order, or at least a reasonable inventory depth. So there are issues, but the harder it is, the less compitition you'll have, so you could look at that as a bright side. It helps to be flexible because you may not have considered a related type of product that could work out very well you.
What kind of barriers are you running into?

Well, right now it's very limited, but I'd like to break electronics into it. My budget is increasing very quickly, but I can't find a wholesaler of video games, DVD players, etc. I dunno...

Good thing you budget is increasing, since you get better deals and more profit with larger orders. Have you tried any sites like this?

I am in the same situation with my biz. I have very little funding to get my product to the market but have some very good contacts with retailers. It is a hard biz but once its going it will take. I am looking at out of the box finincing,you have to pay back a litle more but its worth it in the long run.
