It should be obvious that some people do well with affiliate programs while the majority struggle to make any sales at all. It really depends on your approach and how hard you apply yourself, doesn't it?

It's just like any other way of making money online, the majority have heard it's being done, but will never get there because they think all you need to do is ask how and do it.

I read an interesting email this morning that asked me to imagine you had lived in a small house with no doors all your life. It was a nice house that offered all the comforts you needed and you knew it very well. Since you had never been outside, you had no reason to think there was anything else.
Then one morning a crack appeared in the wall. A shaft of sunlight streamed through it and reflected on the dust in the air to produce a brilliant display drawing you to investigate.
You approach the crack cautiously and peer through to see a WORLD like you had never imagined. Verdant green landscape and bright blue skies filled with fluffy billowing clouds and the sun peering over the horizon in a glorious orange ball.
Then suddenly you saw hordes of people approaching your house, laughing and talking, running and walking, some so obviously happy they are doing cartwheels!
Now the question, do you retreat? Do you find a dark cloth to cover over the crack and go on about your affairs? Or do you grab the fireman's axe off the wall and smash through to be part of the world you see?
Now focus . . . what has your vision of the Internet Marketing world been up until now?

I disagree. Affiliate marketing can be done on a shoestring budget. You can start a free blog on Blogger or a discussion group in Yahoo Groups, and as long as your content draws visitors you can convert it into revenue with ads and affiliate links. And even starting a website for yourself is pretty easy and cheap these days.
Obviously the more money you have to invest the more likely you are to succeed, but the same can be said in any industry. No matter what field you choose you will have to compete with established powers.
But in affiliate marketing there are plenty of tools you can use to streamline the processes of keyword research, creating content, following up with prospects, etc. Choosing the right tools can help level the playing field a bit. More so than in most other fields I'd say.

The problem of affiliate marketing is sometime u dun know what sort of product u r selling. U just HARD SELL for the sake of selling. I did ask some of the affiliate marketer on the quality of the products but they themselves had not even used it before. It is me who happend to be one of his mailing lists that received the URL link to the seller's webpage.
Once i coame across a site promoting hundred's of product with all the rating being 10 out of 10. Gosh, how convincing would it be if u rate it 10 where u didn't even have a hands on it.
However, i think this link offer a better way to succeed in online business

I just started an affiliate program and will let you know how it goes. From what I learned, good content and mailing lists are the keys to success. Obviously traffic is what matters and I'll let you know how my traffic directing ideas work. Good Luck!

So much depends on --
- the affiliate program itself,
- the demand for the product,
- how much time and energy you are willing to devote to marketing,
- your understanding of online business.
I'll tell you this: if you put up yet another page (one among thousands) that just has affiliate links on it, call it a "store," and expect people to come flocking, you'll be deeply disappointed. I've seen lots of folks do this (the Amazon affiliate program discussion boards see them all the time), and the one question they cannot answer is the crucial one: Why would I want to come to your website to buy Amazon products when I can go straight to Amazon itself?
It really helps to have a content-rich website that people want to visit, then market the affiliate program products that are appropriate to your content.
And don't spend any money to join programs. If a program can make money off of its associates alone, it has little incentive to get real customers.

I think luck cannot be reach unless we are supposed to have it..
Doing the online busines at the beginning phase I found only two keys we have to play arround:
-free advertising options and -a good marketing advice.

In my opninon, Internet marketing is not very easy, but with the right attitude and commitment, i am sure success is not far away.
Just make sure you get feedbacks at the end of each week and change your strategy accordingly to achieve the best results.
