Northwestern Mutual Financial Network - 65 life policy  Reply with quote

I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with the 65 Life plan from NMFN, or can tell me more about it. One of the agents is trying to sell it to me. I've tried searching for more information about it, and I have found some websites telling about the horrors of working at and the horros of NMFN products, but no discussion about this policy. So this 65 life poilcy appears to just be some fancy (and expensive) whole life insurance, which is generally regarded as a poor investment. NMFN claims a rate of return on 8% on it though, and I just can't figure out how they come up with that.

So does anyone have the low down on what's going on with this 65 Life plan? Are there some websites/forums, that discuss this plan, and, for lack of a better word, analyze whether or not this plan is worth the cost? I was just fiddling around with my own calculations, and looking at what you pay and what the money grows into, the 65 Life plan does not even appear to keep up with inflation in terms of working as an "investment".
