Hello,
Anyone using a dual checking personal budget system? I've got mine setup with one checking account that is for all my scheduled and quantifiable bills, and another that is like an allowance that I just spend. I was wondering if anyone else was using a system like this, and what kind of issues they've ran into.

Two here, but it's no system, just convenience. One of the banks closed all their branches close to me, so I needed another account with a more convenient bank.

Too much putzing around. If you need a mechanism to control how much you spend because you cannot control it yourself, what happens if you bounce a check/try to debit too much?
Use a credit card (citiBank for example) that automatically updates through Quicken and keep your one checking account earning interest. If you need a mechanism to cap your spending, set a low limit or e-mail notifications.
I'm amazed at how many people spend more time tinkering with checking accounts than I spend on my entire portfolio (to include active stock-trading); one's time could be better spent.

I use 3 but also for convenience.
One for paying bills online, one linked with an investment account, and one for handling and monitoring household expenses.
