Need advice on obtaining a loan.  Reply with quote

How would I go about finding someone to loan me some money? I lost my job in August so getting a loan from a financial institution is a no-go.
Although I'm looking for a job I haven't found anything yet. I haven't missed a payment yet on anything that I owe but now I have no more savings and I don't want to ruin my credit. I had a credit score of 740. I'm looking for a way to borrow $4,800, which I will pay back $5,000 when I get my income tax return next year I'm figuring by March. Can any one give me advice? Other than the obvious one of finding a job. I know that there will be trust issues so what would I need to do to reassure someone that I would pay them back?

Thank you

Why don't you get a bartending job or something while you are looking?

Thanks for the advice Matt. I'll keep that in mind.

Does anybody else have any suggestion?

I think what I mainly want to know

1. Is there anyone who would provide such a loan?

2. Is $200 a fair enough return for a 120 day loan?

4.1% interest, 12.5% yield. Very high risk.

Why not collect unemployment for six months of breathing room? It's not like you haven't paid into it.

Do you own your home. If so shouldnt be a problem. Otherwise credit cards and cash advance might be the answer let me know if you own your home though

Well depending on where you live i can help with a equity line.

With a equity line you could take the money as you need it, not bother with the first and it is tax deductible. Shoot me an e-mail. It will certainly help you out.
