| US Bank accounts for Non-Us |

Hi there,
Im hoping this will be a simple solution... Im aware that I need a ssn or tin to open a US bank account... how ever I do see sites on line that offer US bank account with out needing these numbers.
Im in Canada while I work for an American company. All people with out US bank account are mailed checks once a month, while having a US bank account I can get direct deposit every week if I like.
Does anyone know of a lagitimate site, or bank that will allow Canadians to open a US bank account?
any help or advice is great!
Thnx
Mindy

ING has an American dollar savings account available for Canadians. You should be able to do a direct deposit there and then transfer to your regular chequing account.
Wish I earned $US!!

Hi Mindy!
I actually had the same kind of problem as you before. I wanted to open a US bank account, but I didn't live in the US, and most sites I've seen needed SSN or TIN numbers as well. A friend of mine referred me to this site:
http://www.non-us-bank-account.com/
It's simple, efficient, and I was able to open an account in 2 weeks. I'm sure that it can help you since it was able to help me as well.
