Coastal Vacations  Reply with quote

Hey,

Has anyone heard of coastal vacations? Supposedly you pay $1295 for a vacation package, and they give you a distributors licence to sell that vacation package yourself. They give you a website and an automated system that supposedly sells this product for you. All you have to do is answer questions from customers, and you get a $1000 profit for every sale you make. My question is:

Do you guys think this is a scam? or could it possibly be true?

It sounds to good to be true.

thanks

Sounds like a scam to me. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

I totally agree. People make judgements with NO research whatsover. It's been around for 10 years and it has always been a great business. I also agree that the Call Centers make the difference. Our Call Center even lets individuals join for $295. That's a first!

To me, it's one of the strongest companies on the Internet and I'm happy with it.

If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck, I am content with forgoing any research and calling it a duck. Confused

Besides, all the proponents here are one-post wonders. Rolling Eyes

I am joining Coastal under a great Director by the name of Jen MacArthur. Coastal Vacations in itself is a great opportunity. The key is in finding a director that shares the same integrity and honor as your self. Be aware of two directors in particular. Their names are Karl Jacebson and Britt Philips. Please view the rip off reports on these guys.
Any how just thought I'd put my two cents in. Wish me lots of luck. Good luck and God Bless you all. Diane

I haven't seen any "store in a box" schemes that have worked yet for anyone. I'd be sure to investigate this one thoroughly. Start with the Better Business Bureau.

Coastal Vacations  Reply with quote

I've been looking into this for two weeks now. I keep running across sites like this one where someone asks if it's a scam or not and invariably someone will say if it's too good to be true it isn't. It's a scam! But they don't seem to really know anything about it. They are just giving an off the cuff reply. The other thing is that someone who says they are in Coastal and, of course, give glowing reports.

What I don't seem to see is people who have gotten involved and lost out and are now screaming their heads off. There is so very little of it that it's conspicuous it's very absence. If it's so bad, where are all the people who have been ripped off posting? I've looked all over and I can't find hardly any. iIt really makes me think there is something to this Coastal thing.

People who've been ripped off generally don't want to own up to it. That's the problem with "testimonials." People who've had a bad experience just slink off into a corner and disappear from view. We never hear their testimonial. And why would we, from someone who's promoting something? They aren't going to give a balanced view. You'll notice the favorable posts above are only from people with a vested interest in promoting it. And when they didn't get any bites, they went fishing elsewhere. Laughing

Tim,
WHAT? Since when do people not step up and complain when they feel ripped off?! It's human nature to do so, often making a mountain out of a mole hill. In fact, people are MUCH more likely to tell you all about the horrible service/product/person/whatever they've had to endure than tell you about a great one. I'd think ripoffreport.com's 8,224,345,970 hits would attest to that fact. The Internet is full of sites like that and you can scream and whine all you like while using a fake name if you want. Slink off in a corner? Hardly. Confused

The complaints on ripoffreport.com seem to be dealing with bad Directors almost exclusively. Like SangaSengejin, who started this thread, I'm trying to find out if the business is for real or not when a good Director is involved with you. That's all. If anyone has found areas where everyday people are posting and saying that the vacations suck or they lost their nestegg even though they busted their butt on it, I'd like to see that. Thanks.

I'll admit my statement was too broad. I should have said, "people who were ripped off because they made a stupid mistake...." Smile

You're right that people who were ripped off who had every reason to expect something legitimate; who were ripped off through no fault of there own -- they should, and do, make their complaints known.

But if their compaint is going to show they're a sucker who fell for something too good to be true, then I still think they're not going to be too likely to own up to it. It's just psychology not to want to look stupid. Smile

That still doesn't answer your question, though, does it. Wink
