I generally get paid monthly and have built up my budget around this. What about everyone else here?

I get paid every two weeks but in about a month when I move up to manager, I'll get paid every week. That's gonna be nice.

Is that going to change your budgeting at all?

twice a month  Reply with quote

I get paid twice a month, on the 15th and 31st. Previous jobs were every two weeks, which is almost the same, but checks always came on the same day of the week.

I get paid bi-weekly and do a split direct deposit (besides 401K). Part is to in interest checking account associated with my home loan that is used to auto pay the loan (and related HELOC if I ever use that) and tax/insurance escrow (which I pay myself from the account). The remainder goes to my old checking account for other variable expenses.

The top brass gets paid quarterly, but they split up remaining profits (private company). Imagine living paycheck to paycheck and only getting paid every 3 months. But when you hear one talking about buying a BMW for his daughter, I don't think they are short of cash when the next quarter rolls around.

Somewhat. I will get a pay raise so I will be making more than before. It is also easier for an 18 year old to budget weekly. I save 45% of my money so that doesn't leave me with much for gas and whatever else so a weekly paycheck doesn't have to stretch as long as a bi-weekly check.
