Michael Jackson Trial  Reply with quote

Not guilty on all charges.

I haven't been following this circus everyday, but I was interested to see the verdict read. My wife thinks the mother screwed up the case. She certainly lacked some credibility, plus I heard a report that she pissed-off some of the juriors, probably wasn't good for the prosecution...

What do you think about this?

Jon Stewart cracked me up: "Mental note: Don't sleep with boys who are cancer patients - ya just can't trust 'em!"

Love John Stewart, saw him on Crossfire a while back and he really took both sides to task for skipping big issues and pushing fluff (like the MJ trial, I suppose!)

Yeah he's the most powerful man on TV these days. A Comedian. These are the times we live in.

I agree with the results of the trial. The Mob doesn't rule, not yet.

Why do we care about MJ when the Catholic Church has made a closet industry out of shuffling known, proven pedophiles around the US, above the law, to new unsuspecting communities, where these dark, violent men can do the MOST damage to trusting young Catholic boys and girls?

I literally don't care if MJ is guilty. The Catholic situation is about ten million times worse. Catholics STILL refuse to obey the laws of God, of our cities, states and federal gov't.

What part of : "Don't **** tiny children." do Catholics not understand?

I'm not going to quibble about this, Sarah. Call it what you wish. The Catholic Church subsidized the rape of over ten thousand boys by ordained preists - in 2004 alone.

In my mind, you either support this or you're against it. Sarah, your focus here seems to be one of cool disregard for the plight of these young Americans.

Unlike your irrational desire to occupy a foreign people and shackle its free media to your personal tastes, the Catholic abuses are occurring in our neighborhoods. It's something we could actually do something about, if it weren't for careless people. I guess it's okay if it ain't happening to you, eh, Sarah? Pshhh...

The Catholic Bishops meet every six months to address their largest concerns. Of course while they still refuse to disclose rape data about their preists to State or Fed courts, they speculate that - get this - homosexuality is to blame!

Of course it has nothing to do with the fact that they don't work within the bounds of LAW or cooperate with authorities. In fact the only thing the Catholic Priests rulebook (the Holy See) says about raping boys, happens to be a piece of advice. It's not even a law.

quote:
"Advancement to religious vows and ordination should be barred to those who are afflicted with evil tendencies to homosexuality or pederasty," reads the directive, which is advisory rather than a binding law.

Oh, and according to the Wash Post article, the Bishops don't even plan to discuss it at all this coming meeting.

Progress! Hey Catholic parishioners, has it ever occurred to you to, I don't know, maybe say something to your clergy?

So, if a teacher rapes a student, you want us to indict the school system?

If the school system refused to cooperate with authorities, the school decision makers would get punished for obstruction of justice - you bet. I'm sorry that makes no sense to you, Sarah. I assure you it does to the rest of us.

The Catholic Church systematically hides and obfuscates the trails of thier payrolled serial pederasts. They have been doing this for decades.

Yes I believe that should be punishable by law.

Actually I feel more strongly than that. The atrocious injustices will be punished, it's only a matter of time. I believe in our Justice system. It may move slowly, but Justice will eventually be done.

Don't change the subject just because you aren't big enough to apologize. LOL

Also, please post links using the [ url ] tag instead of filling the forum with redundant text. This is the internet, after all.

The truth is that MJ is a media sideshow distraction. If you care at all about child abuse, there are very real stories to track, "Sarah."

Oh okay, you want to talk about "celebs", figures. LOL

I thought the topic was about protecting children and the prosecution of justice on their behalf, a subject in which you've no interest.
