Vehicle purchase  Reply with quote

Hello everyone! I'm am in need of a little advice on whether or not a should purchase a certain used vehicle! First a little background on me. I'm 25years old, I work as a Harwood flooring contractor with my own business license. We have some really good contracts with the national park service and do 2 pretty decently large jobs with them a year that pay fairly well. In the slow season and In between jobs I work as a pizza delivery driver here in my town. Up until now I have been buying used vehicles at a good price and driving them for awhile and selling them at a slight profit. This has been a good strategie for the time being but I've reached the point to where I'd like a decent vehicle that I can keep for several years and call my own. Right now I'm driving an absolute beater and it's my only vehicle. I definaly need a good reliable vehicle for the flooring business and when my next flooring job comes up. I found my dream truck for sale at a car dealer here in Bozeman. It's 2015 f150 with 8000miles. They're asking 35000. Now here's the deloma. Should I buy such an expensive vehicle and keep it for quite a few years or try and find something cheaper? I've got 21000 in liquid money. 10000 in an IRA. I've got a really good credit score around 760. Should I buy the truck on credit and make minimum payments since rates are still low and keep investing my money at a higher return? Or try and find something I can pay cash for? Thanks for your help. Also I am considering the tax advantages of being able to write off the loan interest for my business as I need as many write offs as I can get this year. Thanks for your help guys

Describe your beater - make, year, miles.
