Do cash back apps work?  Reply with quote

Been looking to make some extra money. And when searching for passive income ideas one of the easier options given seem cash reward apps. They claim you can earn some decent money. So does it work, has anyone used them?

Some of the ones I could find for research fluzfluz, checkout51, ebates...

ebates definitely works. It's a great way to get some cash back on things you would have purchased anyways.

See Proof. You can make free money online.

Cash back apps  Reply with quote

I use Ebates, Checkout 51 and Ibotta. They all work pretty well. I would just caution you to read the fine print. I've had Ebates purchases that I thought would qualify but it turns out only certain categories are eligible for the rebate (example: the home page might say 4% back at Walmart but when you read the details, it's 4% back on tires, 2% on clothes, 1% on everything else for example). Check out 51 and Ibotta's fine print sometimes has deals that are specific to one grocery store only. A few times I purchased an item and then didn't qualify for the rebate because it was not the right store. Also, I've failed to get rebates on items for buying the wrong size item, like 24 oz instead of the 12oz and not noticing that the rebate was for a particular flavor of oatmeal, not just the regular oatmeal.
And as always, you are only really saving money if you are buying things you planned to buy in the first place. Stores don't do coupons and rebates to be nice. They make more money by encouraging you to buy things you hadn't planned to buy.
All that said, I think I've received about $150 back in the past year on these apps. So it definitely can work if you are strategic.

investing in stocks  Reply with quote

How investing in stocks?Once you’ve determined the shape of your portfolio,it is time to invest.Find a broker you are comfortable with, either an online broker or one with a local office or both.Call and talk with the person if neccessary.then fill out the paperwork, deposit some money and open up account. After deciding what to buy, don’t buy all at once :enter slowly. What if you invested all your money just before a market downturn?being in the red that quickly wouldn’t do much for your confidence.plan to take months to invest all of your money to minimize any market timing risk.finally, remember to set aside time each week to review or catch up on the news for your investments. As your experience grows your asset allocation decisions will probably change.you could adjust your portfolio on a regular basis, say every year or so,by selling some of one type of investment and buying more of another. These additional funds can be used to expand the number of securities you hold or can be added to existing holdings.Careful thought before and during your investing career will do more to help your results than trying to chase the latest hot stock.after all,it’s your money-you should know what you are doing with it and why.
