Thrift savings plan (TSP)  Reply with quote

As I approach my retirement, I am receiving a lot of advice on what to do with the TSP money that I have accumulated over 20 years.
As I understand it:
TSP says that only 1 partial withdrawal, then the next one has to be a full withdrawal, with an annuity offered at retirement.
one financial adviser recommends pulling the full amount and putting it into a fixed index annuity.
Another financial adviser recommends they manage the whole amount, with a combination of investment funds, and annuities.
Another financial adviser recommends a series of investment funds, managed by them.

The only thing that they agree on is that TSP is not the best manager for retirement

So of course, I choose another avenue for advice, you. Care to weigh in on this?
