Looking for life advice. |
|
|
Hello everyone!
I'm new on this forum and looking for advice related to my professional life.
Some backgroud:
I'm 26 yo, living in Warsaw-Poland. Have finance background and currently working in Goldman Sachs in operations division.
I would like to move and see the world and enjoy life more than I do now.
I know that this is very general question but do you have any life advices for me?
Not sure even what kind of answers i expect...
Cheers all,
Marcin

From your writing, your English is great. So you could function seamlessly in London, United States, Australia, New Zealand. And GS has offices in those places. Perhaps you could transfer to other locations? Or maybe you could travel as GS representative while maintaining your Warsaw base?
Personally, I'd start with Australia - they are a fun-loving People, engaging and friendly.

Thank you for your answer.
My thoughts are also going around Australia and New Zealand. But there are visa restrictions for Polish citizens. I need to dig deeper and check what are the current requirements.
When it comes to internal movement between GS offices I guess it possible but for people more senior than me.
Will check this one also.
Have a great day!

You are young and if you do not want to build a career linearly, then find a job that will allow you to travel a lot. Travel, new acquaintances. this will help you in later life, I think so. I want to advise you to make a plan and enjoy life!
