I think it's because first person who buy medical marijuana be fired from his work. community not ready to a legalizing marijuana. And I'm not sure the time will be come. People know drug= bad, so hard to explain, ,marijuana=health.
many people come out on street and burning plants. Action like this stop grow shares on low lvl. And investing it's always risk.
look at Apple they so overvalued, but still grow up.
noone know will be shares marijuana grow, or fall.
but i think now they undervalued

Investing in medical marijuana/legalized marijuana could be very risky. Here in the USA for instance, there are only 2 states where recreational use of marijuana is legal. On the medical side, there is still much political debate. The politics make it a risky endeavor.

for Obama need this law.
it's his chance show his power.
mb Is Wrong, but I think, legalization medical marijuana, it's new meta in medicine, and this area can only grow. And so low price for shares, only another reason to think about stocks company who grows medical marijuana

Which 20 states have legalized recreational use?
23 US states and the District of Columbia have passed laws allowing some degree of medical use of marijuana,[17] and 14 states have taken steps to decriminalize it to some degree.[18][19] This movement sought to make simple possession of cannabis punishable by only confiscation or a fine, rather than prison.[20] In the past several years, the movement had started to have some successes.[19]
Some states and local governments have established laws attempting to decriminalize cannabis, which has reduced the number of "simple possession" offenders sent to jail, since federal enforcement agents rarely target individuals directly for such relatively minor offenses. Other state and local governments ask law enforcement agencies to limit enforcement of drug laws with respect to cannabis, however under the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution, federal law preempts conflicting state and local laws. In most cases, the absence of a state law does not present a preemption conflict with a federal law.

And some more information from newspaper (sry bcos so large):
cannabis: Oregonians will be able to vote in November on whether to legalize marijuana for recreational use. The initiative submitted by the marijuana reform group New Approach Oregon received at least 88,500 valid signatures to qualify for placement on the ballot, election workers announced Wednesday.
“Treating marijuana use as a crime has failed,” Peter Zuckerman, spokesman for New Approach Oregon, told the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday. “We can’t afford to wait -- more lives are being ruined, more money is being blown into the black market and police are more distracted from issues like violent crime. Oregonians are open to a new approach to marijuana and we are going to fight for every vote.”
The measure needs a simple majority to pass.
If Oregon legalizes recreational marijuana, it would become the third state to do so, following Washington and Colorado, which both passed legalization initiatives in 2012. Alaska will also vote on a similar measure in November.
Twenty-four states and Washington, D.C., have passed laws permitting medicinal marijuana use.
The Oregon ballot measure, Initiative Petition 53, seeks to regulate the personal possession, commercial cultivation and retail sale of cannabis to adults. Under the plan, taxes on the sale of cannabis are estimated to raise about $88 million in the first two years following the law’s implementation.
The proposal would allow adults 21 and older to possess up to eight ounces of marijuana and to cultivate up to four plants. It would also give the Oregon Liquor Control Commission authority to oversee and regulate recreational sales, which would start in January 2016.
Recreational marijuana would be taxed at $1.50 a gram or $35 an ounce, according to the initiative. That revenue from the taxes would go to schools, law enforcement, drug treatment programs and mental health programs.
In a June poll in Oregon, 51% of those surveyed said they supported allowing adults to use, possess and grow marijuana for their personal use while allowing the state to regulate and tax it.
A study released Tuesday by ECO Northwest, an economic analysis and advisory group, estimated that marijuana regulation in Oregon would generate $38.5 million in tax revenue in the first year of sales.

So I asked what 20 states allow recreational use? I said 2 states allow it and you said 20 allow recreational use.
I was talking about recreational use and not medical use or slight decriminalization, so maybe that is where the confusion came in?

ooh.
sry man.
now I see=))
but now another question.
how law of recreational use may interfere with the growth of these companies?
are not many companies who grow medical marijuana have a "factories" in the U.S. territory, so the simply legalization enough .
so it makes sense to talk about the 23 states, not a two.
if we were talking about building businesses in those states, I think it would be a powerful argument.
And this why I didn't understand, so big and new market have so undervalued shares

Medical or recreational, both seem to be very risky investments to me right now.
