I guess do you have to look at it as charity.
I don't really expect to get any of it, at least I'm not counting on it. Lots of people would prefer to keep that FICA contribution and invest it themselves, but then I guess SS would be running out a lot sooner than 2042.

This is why you should defer your money and then just pay a max on FICA.
It maxs out at somepoint. But Medicare doesn't
