Congratulations on obtaining your employment. I am guessing you are under age 25 and single, you do not say. More information about you and your finances is needed to recommend which funds you should select.

Be sure to read the prospectus for the funds you choose.
And be sure to read the Summary Plan Description for your 401k plan.

You can review your available mutual funds at no cost using Morning Star, but registration is required: http://screen.morningstar.com/Compare/Fund/FundCompareResults.html?currview=default&CriteriaList=PresetFund:Large+Growth~PresetFund:Mid-Cap+Growth~PresetFund:Small+Growth~

You can also see how your funds have been performing and other fund information at Yahoo: http://finance.yahoo.com/

As long as your top tax rate is 15% or less, I would suggest you use the ROTH 401k or a ROTH IRA. When your top tax rate goes above 15%, then begin to contribute to the Traditional IRA or traditional 401k an amount to keep your top tax rate at 15%.

Congratulations on your new employment.

This is a great time to chip in this piece of advise as you are only just about setting up your first 401K. Be sure to include precious metals in your retirement plan portfolio as you go. They are inflation proof, and their value in not affected by the uncertainty in today's economy.

solicitation removed

Kind regards

A good reply to your query will require lot more details from your end. Plus read about your option by searching on Google. There is a lot of useful information available which will guide you in choosing the right option suitable for you. So do proper research before moving ahead.
