| Most econonomical way to Digitizing negatives to TIFF |

I have a few thousand negatives that I want to digitize to TIFF but its twice the price as jpeg and takes up way more room. I dont have time to scan them myself nor to sift through them all trying to figure which ones are worth it. Scancafe seems to be the most reasonable but they will only scan everything in TIF or Jpeg
Maybe if I had some sort machine that would allow me to quickly but keenly observe a strip of negatives, I could better separate those that are worth scanning into TIFF
