I haven't posted here for a while, so if anyone is reading this, I'm moving from the I fund to the C fund for tomorrow.
Even though it may go down a little, it is extremely undervalued.
Earnings may not meet expectations, but they will still be very good.

Next week, I will be moving into the S as well, just waiting for the dust to settle.

I'm still checking the forum everyday, trac. It's a long time between posts in this forum. I've stayed 50-50 in the S & I for almost two weeks. Haven't been too daring lately....just trying to dig out of the hole from the big selloff a few weeks ago. I would be happy just to get back to break even for the year. Embarassed

Smart Move! Very Happy
It is hard to time the market, but it is going to do very well this year.
There is tons of equity on the sidelines, and as it comes pouring in, the markets will roar, it's just a matter of when.
Even the I fund with its recent run up is still undervalued, but I think the S & C will move next.
For simple buy low sell high investing, I like this chart the best:
10 day:
http://tinyurl.com/2a6bet
YTD:
http://tinyurl.com/3drc5o
1 Year:
http://tinyurl.com/2pys8k

From the YTD you can see how undervalued the C is, and the 1 year shows the value of the S fund.
As earnings are reported for the next several weeks, don't look at expectations/estimates, but at the actual numbers.
You'll see these companies are making good coin.
The media will play on the estimates, which mean nothing.

If you want the truth, listen to this guy, 03-18-07 is very encouraging. Smile

I'm considering a move to the S fund today for tomorrow.
The small caps and especially the dollar are oversold.

GE matched expectations and reaffirmed its full-year outlook; Merck raised its Q1 and FY07 profit forecasts; McDonald's issues upside Q1 guidance following strong March comps
08:33 ET Dow , Nasdaq , S&P : [BRIEFING.COM] S&P futures vs fair value: +2.1. Nasdaq futures vs fair value: +2.3. Futures trade spikes higher following tame inflation data, now suggesting a slightly higher start for the cash market. Total PPI rose 1.0% (consensus 0.7%) in March; but the more closely-watched core rate was unchanged (consensus 0.2%), following a 0.4% rise in February. That pushes the year/year rate to 1.7% and provides some evidence that inflation pressures have abated somewhat. The Trade Deficit unexpectedly narrowed to $58.4 bln (consensus $60.5 bln).

Staying with the S fund for Monday.
The dollar is starting its breakout to the north, and the fundamentals are all positive.

Same song new day:
Better than expected earnings: Citigroup, Wachovia, Eli Lilly, Eaton Corp, Mattel

M&A: SLM Corp. confirms it will be taken private for about $25 bln; Google agrees to acquire DoubleClick for $3.1 bln

08:00 ET Dow , Nasdaq , S&P : [BRIEFING.COM] S&P futures vs fair value: +3.5. Nasdaq futures vs fair value: +5.0. Early indications are pointing to a higher open for the cash market. With earnings kicking into full gear this week and nearly half of the Dow's 30 components reporting, Citigroup (C) handily topping Wall Street expectations heads today's list of better-than-expected results. Some M&A news is also contributing to the bullish disposition. SLM Corp. (SLM) has confirmed it will be taken private for approximately $25 bln while Google (GOOG) has agreed to acquire DoubleClick for $3.1 bln. Nasdaq at... NYSE Adv/Dec 0/0... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 0/0.

Preliminary:
I believe the Fed will have a positive effect on the market this afternoon, and that will carry over into the I Fund.
