Get educated before you get educated!  Reply with quote

So I work for one of the top state universities in the country and today there was an article talking about how our state has the fourth highest post graduate debt at an average of 29k. There were also two editorial posts that dealt with students who are blaming the system and the colleges for the choice they made and for the cost of going to school. One student writes about blaming her peers and teachers that all told her that if you get an education your gaurenteed a job that pay's well and you should be able to afford a home. And now this person has 30k in school loans and won't be able to pay them off for decades. Another student blames the older generation for having it easier and that schooling and jobs don't go hand and hand anymore and it's not fair because now he has tons of school debt to pay off.
Well, I'm personally offended by these people because I have busted my butt to get where I am today. My parents told me they would pay for half of my tuition and room and board and I had to figure out how to cover the rest. I got my BA in Liberal Arts from a Private School in 1995 and paid for it by taking out 20k in loans, joining the Marines Reserves using the GI Montgomery bill and working a lot. What I found out after I graduated was that I had made two mistakes. I chose a private school that cost a fortune and I chose a major that had a poor job outlook. Those were my choices and no one elses. So I went out in the field and tried to find a job and I could only work for $12 dollars an hour and was barely getting by, so I found 2 more jobs to get by.
So after making this stupid decision I decide to go back to school and really did my research for a career that was prospering which was the IT industry in the late 90's. I chose a Technical college where the costs were only $2000 a year total and I rented an apartment and worked fulltime selling camera's. I graduated in 2 and a half years and had a job in the IT field immediately making great money. Becuase of this wise decision I started out making 40k a year in 2001 and it has grown every year since. I also paid off every cent of my school loans and am proud of it. I also have no debt and invest very wisely.
So what pissess me off is that people need to make intelligent choices in life and not blame everyone else. The two students I mentioned above should have chosen a cheaper school with a major that actually has jobs like my field currently does. Stopping complaining and start educating yourself before you end up with 40k of student loans and a degree in something that will go no where. You don't need a degree to be successful. Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard and never got a degree.

Unfortunately, this is really the case. After graduating from college, many students cann't find a job in their specialty and go to work in other areas, where sooner or later they face the fact that they need a diploma to get a managerial position. I think this is very unfair, but fortunately, everyone can correct this situation with the help of modern educational services - to pass of courses, get a diploma or a certificate, perhaps even buy them using such services like this https://www.verifiabledegree.com/ . It's legal and doesn't require much time and effort from you, but it's effective for getting a promotion or looking for a new job.

Any education involves a large amount of paperwork. Students for some reason may not be able to cope with numerous academic tasks. I just want to share the best websites for essay writing so that you can easily find effective writing help for yourself. Study this information and use it.
