However, between 2 employees and workers, one is more excellent than the other, I am pretty sure which candidate would be the first to get kicked out. Well, I am not saying that it is always the case. However, we must at least try to be within the better classes so getting laid off would be of a lesser chance than those with poor working habits.
That's true sometimes, but other times companies will try to get rid of the older, higher paid worked by offering retirement incentives, forced retirement, and straight out lay offs.
In prior generations, there was company loyalty and companies were loyal to employees and vice versa. Prior generations also had pensions and it was easier for them to retire.
That loyalty doesn't seem to exist much anymore.
As I posted previously, look at all the Walmart employees who will have to go back on Medicaid. Walmart hiked up their health insurance premiums and pays many employees so little, they can no longer afford health benefits.

Up until late 2006, this process was self-reinforcing, mainly due to the delayed impacts of interest rate changes, not to mention encouraging profits for lenders, who would often repackage the loans into securities which could be sold to investors globally.

"In prior generations, there was company loyalty and companies were loyal to employees and vice versa. Prior generations also had pensions and it was easier for them to retire." That must have been a nice time to live or was that a myth?
