I want to know what are the most important onpage factors. I heard that Google does not give any importance to Meta Keywords.

Some on page SEO factors to take into account are relevant and up to date content, which is why you see so many blogs popping up every day. Another important factor would be title tags. Title tags tell the search engines what's inside your web page, so you want to optimize it in a way that each page can rank individually. Internal links is also very important for your website to rank properly. Aside from making it much easier for your visitors to navigate around your site, it also ensures that your site gets crawled properly by search engine bots.
As for meta keywords, even though they aren't a major factor in terms of ranking, they should still not be left off your page.

New content is really big. I have a forum that's currently closed. However, when I log on to make a few minor changes, I see by the guest count that the bots are almost immediately there. I've read that the bots don't go more than 1500 words into the page, so it's changes at the top of your site heirarchy that's really the big factor.

Keywords and keyword phrases are important too. Be sure to incorporate those in your content.

To increase your chance of ranking high, ensure that your filenames match your page title and H1 tag; this should ideally all be the same. Do not use spaces but hyphens instead as these are seen as spaces. For example, www. yourdomain.com/ my-keyword-phrase.html. Also, keep your filename in the root directory or as high up the hierarchy as possible and in an ideal world, your domain name should also be keyword rich or at least contain your keyword in some way, shape or form.

Main thing content. Then meta tags which include title and meta description, which you place on each page. Keyword research and keywords are also important as user visit our site using these keywords. Yes it right that Google
not gives any importance to meta keywords but other search engines may give the importance.

Google didn't look on your meta keyword at all, this has been discussed many times over internet. Most webmaster stuffing keyword in meta keyword Google tend to ignore this. Creating quality content is the king..

What I mean about this the filename of your page... like
www . yourwebsite.com/example/keyword.html
