Age 30 years is quite reasonable to have children.

Perfect Age for having children ????????  Reply with quote

In my primary career I am a financial planner but I also have 2 grown-up daughters and therefore I can offer advice from a financial planner's point of view and from a personal experience point of view.

In my opinion the strongly established trend of parents having children later is not necessarily going to suit everyone.

When I give young clients advice I say "add 23 years to the age of your youngest child and that will tell you roughly speaking how old you will be when they are hopefully no longer dependent upon you!"

One friend on receiving this advice decided that they would crack on with having children and as parents will probably be independent again just either side of their 50th birthdays.

When you are 25 it is very easy to think that life stops when you reach the shocking age of 50 but from experience I can say that is very far from the truth.

As far as financial planning is concerned obviously I am an advocate of it but I do not think that you should put perfect financial planning ahead of having a family. I hope this helps.Go for it - good luck
