If you want the bike just buy it. I bought this yesterday:

and couldn't be happier with it. Yeah, it's a toy. Yeah, it's a bad investment. I won't get any ROI on it. But I love the thing, have always wanted one, and am having so much fun on it. It'll make my summer so much more fun.

Eff it, you only live once.

Craig Finn is brilliant.

The price alone is not the only thing a potential bike owner should consider. There are also things like performance and maintenance, which go together in terms of the price of ownership. A high-performance bike will cost more in maintenance than a smaller, lower performing one.

I bought 16s for my Tacoma pickup for about $85 each. Broken camber bolt could get you killed; and so he's probably pulling your leg. Show it to me! Tire stores are the worst in the world for any type of mechanic work. They wanted to stick me with a bill for $900 to replace an oil sending unit ($30).

I'd get a second opinion... Ask your friends or car dealers...

No this is a mechanic I trust and only let him work on my 4runner. He was a mechanic at the local Toyota dealer.

Hey, what do those All Terrain tires cost in 16 inch? Do these hold the road better than radials? I've had two separate hydroplane incidents at high speed.

16inch is just the rim size and should have little performance difference. You want to stick to a radial but look at a all season tire rather then a all terrain. You want a tire that has slots running strait on the tread to allow water to escape.
Also you mentioned you have a Tacoma which means the back end is light like all trucks. If it is the back end that is slipping out you may want to get some more weight over the rear axle.
