I choose to be rich though. because it is better to enjoy the best things in life when you have money to pay for them.

Keeping up with the Joneses is an emotional thing.
The thought is, 'the Joneses have it and it must make them so HAPPY! I must go get one.'
Money and happy emotions have nothing to do with each other. Like has been said before things will NEVER make you happy.
