Thanks for all the posts, and the information! I haven't bought the condo yet but the owners are taking a portion of the rent toward the purchase, so I'm getting somewhere at least.

You should concern to your area's local real estate agent because it will going to little bit difficult for you if you don't do it before. A good real estate agent can give perfect time to invest and area information to buy a home which is also safe for you in the future.
