I do too. I don't think it would hurt the world economy though.

When nature gets it nerves exploding, there is just no stopping it. All we can do is pray and hope that things will be fine once we survived. Live our lives with sense most likely help some too, that is one way to make it count.

I think when their economic recovery, disaster would have taken it all away. This will be a long war.

I just hope they get the nuclear crisis under control soon. I read an article yesterday about one of the reactors having more damage than they thought.

It is so sad to know that Japan was hit black and blue by this accidents. However, japan is never arrogant when it comes to its work ethics. This is why I believe after a few months, they will be up and going once again.

Japan can and will work out wonders. The reason is this. It is their working habits, their dedication to perfection and excellence, and their sense of pride. These people are excessively healthy in terms of their work habits that it is not healthy for them already. One article I read was that the Japanese family man will work literally to his death just to finish his task. Well, I think this work ethics will bring Japan up to its feet in no time.

We've seen how Japan has recovered from the disaster and how their economy wasn't affected that much. More so, other countries weren't affected as well. It just goes to show how Japan is indeed a strong country that they were able to surpass such immense tragedy.

I think economy took a pretty big hit, but Japan has a fundamentally strong economy and was able to survive it. I think the bigger question may the the long term th of all the people affected.

quote: Originally posted by coaster I wouldn't be too sure. I just learned that Japan is manipulating the yen such that it is immediately plunging five percent; the dollar is going nuts. it is now believed Japanese government fiscal policy is to produce hyperinflation; one of their excuses being they can then collect more tax revenue. It seems their government economists have gone totally insane and have learned nothing from history.
There is something in this. The Japanese government would love a bit of inflation to help erode the massive debts they have run up over the last twenty years.
They are currently operating in an economic twilight zone. It is like someone with such a massive credit card bill they will never be able to pay it off and so just pay the minimum every month and put off thinking about it until next month.
