My understanding is it is connected to Amway. A division or something like that.

There is a juce bar on Feberal Bulivard in Colorado where the manager claims to be making his car payment off of Quixtar.

He lets me up up Lotto Magic flyers there:) Of course if anyone is looking at that board when it is slow he'll try and grab them into his Quixtar fold:)

Quixtar is a sort of Amway, or Avon, or whatever, from what little I know of them. You get the immediate sense of that if you hit their web site...

I just had to say wassup to cuhoss, since I just drove home coming down Federal, hah. Small world!

One man's scam is another man's opportunity.

He claims he is making a car payment off of his. And I'm playing the Lotto for free off of mine.

People are so skeptical of everything these days I think it would take a miracale to build a downline to where one could get to the point of quitting a day job.

My wife is a proud member of Avon, and has been for years now.

Downline 0, clients 1.

The client would be her, hahahahha. Ah, nothing like paying for 100 brochures every week because she gets "fantastic" deals on $49.95 tubs of 0.5-oz extract of marmot saliva and bonzai blood, etc. Whatever makes her happy, I could care less - but the fact is, I am in total agreement that it is a skeptical envrionment, anyone who might be good to work with has probably already been burned, and how many self-driven entrepreneurs want to get their lives going at the bottom of a pyramid?

People ask alot about Quixtar/Amay. Some say they are sister companies, some say they are like Amway just on the web.

Truth be told Amay and Quixtar are the same company. AmwayUSA changed its name a few years ago to Quixtar. Check out the info I dug up at this link http://www.amquix.info/pdfs/quixtar_amway_VA.pdf

In my opinion they were getting too much bad press and found a way to take advantage of the "new" way to market on the internet with out being stuck with the "Amay" name and reputation.

Does it work? Yes...It's a Billion Dollar Company. Your real question should be "Will it work for me?"

If you have a lot of time and money to throw at it you can make it work. My advice if you want to sell stuff on the internet is to find a niche that you like and find an affiliate program and market their stuff you will find a lot more success with that approach if your effort is equal.

I'd second Mical's advice, re affiliate program marketing on the web.

Check out Phil Wiley at www.ozemedia.com for a successful guy who's been doing that for years.

A legitimate MLM with good products that are unique and either high ticket or consumable can be a good business. You really have to research them and find the right one for you. There are very few that make beyond 10 years. (Last I heard, there were only 17 of them.)

Several around me are in Quixtar and it takes a lot of work to make a downline big enough. I have looked at it (I was raised in AMwayland...GR Michigan) and most of the products are not unique and not something I would buy just as a customer.

One item I looked at was their air purifier and it was way overpriced compared to the latest technology of Ecoquest's. I don't like over paying for something that isn't unique just to pad an upline's commissions.

You want a company with a product that you could make money selling the product, even if you don't get a downline.

Quixstar isn't the way to go  Reply with quote

I don't think that Quixstar is the way to go. I think I remember a few of my friends going to a few seminars regarding this company and it wasn't everything they preached it was. As many others have said I can't stress enough to you how much better off you would be starting something up on your own that you are already familiar with. The internet has endless possibilities, take full advantage and choose something you're passionate about, that way you can't go wrong. Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.

I'm a member of Quixtar, and Quixtar is not a scam.

It is a MLM business, and before Quixtar it is called Amway. In other countries they still call it Amway. Only in North America changed the name to Quixtar.

Quixtar is like an online department store. Basically you can buy anything on the web and have it shipped to your house. There are also many partner stores like credit cards and etc.

If you want to make money in Quixtar, either you have to sell products or have A LOT of downlines so you can earn the commision between the bonus differences(dont' want to get into the details, it'll take me hours to explain lol). It definitely is NOT a get rich quick scheme.

Myself is not a very active member, and I only use their products now.( really good quality) So if you want to make BIG bux in Quixtar, you have to work very hard. Yes, there are thousands of people who are really really rich.

It is always possible to succeed in any kind of field if you really put 100% effort in it. It is YOU to make the decisions. If you think something is worth it, just do it.

Good luck!
