You can try http://www.123exchanges.com : a new marketplace to buy and sell second hand products via videos instead of just plain photos. They have a very nice video concept where you get to watch the video listing live before wasting traveling time to go check it out.

I do not believe there is any other auction site that will come close to ebay. I have seen the others, but they are not as attractive as ebay. Also, many of these sites are not user friendly. The others do not have enough items.

Actually, I think each country has its own local auction sites. Ebay may not be as effective as these sites in their countries because a lot of people visit auction sites, but they want to buy the products as soon as possible. I am actually talking about minutes, unlike
ebay that is going to take days.

EBAY Is THE BEST KNOWN And LARGEST AUCTION SITE  Reply with quote

Curious,

Why would anyone want to list their items anywhere else knowing that Ebay is the 100lb gorilla in the industry. Just like Google, so many try to start similar businesses, but known will ever knock off the giants like Ebay. Just look at how many have tried over the years, none panned out.

Success to all,

BEST Alternative to Ebay in 2011 is Bonanza.com  Reply with quote

I have tried several sites and I found BONANZA.com to be the best. I've had a good amount of sales and it is very user-friendly. It allows you various options to promote your own auctions. VERY impressed and I think in the near future it WILL give ebay a run for it's money. There are many unhappy people that are leaving ebay.

Ebay getting too difficult 4 little sellers  Reply with quote

Ebay is no longer a good option for the smaller sellers. Basically it has been taken over by the big business and larger stores. Little sellers are moving elsewhere. We made ebay what it is and now we can take our business elsewhere. I no longer buy from ebay and find that I can get better deals in Walgreens.com, Walmart.com, directly from the store websites.
Sellers have had to raise their rates so much to compensate for ebays higher and higher fees, that it is no longer a great place to shop.

I have been looking around the internet, and I found that there are no better alternative to ebay. There are local auction sites for each country, and they might fare better since it is local, and the goods can be exchanged within the day due to the same location of the buyer and the seller, unlike ebay where many times, the buyers would be miles away from the seller. Other than that, I can not find a better one than ebay.

Good competition for ebay  Reply with quote

I have had a good amount of traffic and frequent sales on BONANZA.com.
I'm also looking into ebid.net and ioffer.com. These other options have not been as effective as Bonanza.com, however a friend has had better luck than me on ebid.net.
Bonanza.com may not be as active as ebay yet, but it's quickly picking up the pace. It's much friendlier and much better to the sellers. Very well managed. I think it's worth continuing to support them. Many of us are so very tired of ebay! I'm actually fed up! I will not buy from them and encourage my friends/family not to. They are just getting too greedy.

There is obviously a lot of people working for ebay here, so they have to defend it. Ebay used to be good but it's definitely on it's way out. You can find better prices on Walgreens.com on Amazon and on other store websites. Pet items are better priced in pet store websites.
Sellers on ebay have had to raise their prices because ebay is now charging higher fees and charges a percentage even on shipping!!!
That is so ridiculous that sellers are now raising prices.
You can't find really good deals like before.

Ebay is the best auction site of the world.
There is no best alternative to it, but if
anyone try Amazon it would also be helpful.
