Debt management is controlling and managing debt responsibly. To reduce or eliminate debt and create a cash flow that keeps you out of debt is debt management. To completely control your debt you need to make a budget, reduce expenses and focus on paying debt. This is the essence of debt management.

Hi friend
Debt management is a topic most people will have to deal with at some point. Debt is acquired by not living within your means. Living within your means is simply that you do not spend more than you make. Debt management is controling and managing debt responsibly. A Debt Management Plan allows you to make a single, affordable, monthly payment to help you regain control of your finances. Our advisors deal with your creditors on your behalf, often freezing or reducing interest and charges and negotiating a simple and predictable monthly payment.

I noticed that two posts above contain identical wording. I don't know what happened; I didn't catch it at the time. I suspect one member was quoting another and didn't put the quote inside the quote tags. If the quote tags aren't used, it's not apparent that someone else is being quoted, and their words appear to have been posted by someone else. Publishing someone else's words as your own is a violation of U.S. Copyright laws, and court decisions have made it clear that a copyright is assumed even if the (c) isn't posted. Besides, it's just plain misleading. So, when quoting, please use the quote tags:

This is quoted

For me, I believe that credit management means how you are going to take care of your credit. It means whether you try to settle your debts, and the manner by which you are doing it. Then, you are rated for this by banks or creditors.
