Why Emerald Passport is THE Business Opportunity for 2005  Reply with quote

Today in January 2005, we have a very large number of people on the internet today trying to build an online business without the proper tools and support to be successful. Many of these people have signed up into one or more of these schemes, only to find out later that the tools that were presented to them as THE sparkling and shiny state-of-the-art tools of the day turned out to be old, dull, ineffective and out of date. To make matters, worse the “sponsor” who was so congenial before money changed hands became very scarce at best or completely unavailable at worst as soon as the payment was made. No wonder so many internet opportunities have such a bad name. Well these are not businesses. They might be a hobby, but nothing more.

So how does someone who is looking to supplement their income or even switch completely to a work from home lifestyle find and then analyze a business opportunity that will put them in a position to make an informed and intelligent decision about which business to join? The answer here is Due Diligence and Analysis. One has to find a real business as opposed to the many so-called online businesses that are nothing more than the illusion of being a business. Hobbies. Something the kids enjoy.

There are a number of points which must be checked before making a decision to join any given business opportunity. If you are going to invest your money and more importantly your time in an online business you need to know beforehand that it really is a business and not just an internet game or a hobby. Below are what I call the Seven Golden Rules that I use when evaluating any online (or off-line) opportunity:

1. A Program must be a one-time pay only. No monthly or recurring payments of any kind. If you buy a franchise you have a firm price. You don’t have monthly payments to owner, unless you financed this cost. Once you have bought it, it is yours. There may be monthly operating expenses but that is different from the initial acquisition cost. Also, the rights to the business must be able to be sold or passed to another person or entity.

2. Commissions must exceed 60%. Internet transactions consist of intellectual and informational property. These should have profit margins sufficient to pay a representative or distributor a 60% plus commission. If not, move on. Commission payments must be made directly to the member not the company. Too many people have lost large sums of money that were paid into the company’s account and then just seemed to stay there, leaving the sales force high and dry. Every a paper boy gets to collect his subscription money and pay the money due the newspaper at the end of each month. Why should the internet be any different? At the time of joining the business, the payment for the sale of product or services must be paid directly to the member who will then forward the Company’s portion to the Company, not the other way around.

3. Each Program must have one or more products in high demand that have a wide appeal to a significant segment of the general population.

4. The program’s products must be able to be delivered via the internet. No inventory requirement, physical handling or forwarding of packages or product.

5. The Program must have no sales quotas or sales targets imposed on its members.

6. The Program must be available worldwide, worthy of the part-time or full time internet marketer’s time, energy and resources.

7. The Program must have adequate training and tools available to help a member build their business.

Now after applying the above criteria to what is currently available on the internet we will find that only a few programs qualify. Those that do qualify, still have to pass one more important test. The cash flow and income test.

There are several programs that might meet the Seven Golden Rules above, but their target market is at the low end of the internet spectrum so hundreds or thousands would have to be sold each month just to make ends meet. These are hobbies, not businesses. If you want a hobby, fine. But don’t get into a hobby and think that it will become a business. It won’t.

If you want a real business then you will have to make an investment and incur expenses at start-up. Later you will re-coup the start-up costs as you build up your business base. The question is, “Are there any companies online that can meet the Seven Golden Rule tests and if so how fast will the start-up costs be recovered?”

The answer is, “Yes, and fast, very fast.” for one certain online business that I have been working with since last November.

The company is Emerald Passport, Incorporated. This online business opportunity meets all of the tests and then some. It also has been maligned by people who have not done their homework. But this is often the case when new, out-of-the-box thinking happens to come along. One can only feel sorry for this type of individual. Their capacity to learn new things has ended. What a drab life they must be leading. Oh, well. The rest of us have other fish to fry. Many Emerald Passport people start making several thousand dollars in their first month or two. Others, much more than a few thousand.

For the “newbie” the Emerald Passport’s automation is a godsend. And its not too shabby for the Pro either. No need to spend thousands of dollars on websites, wasting hours and hours writing code. The websites are already there. Just plug in. Also, there are several training sites that are made available to every Distributor with a wealth of information on how to be successful in the Emerald Passport family. The entire sales and marketing system is automated with online movies, live and recorded conference calls. Anyone serious about having an online business and working from home will be pleased with Emerald Passport. I will post a detailed description of the automated systems that Emerald Passport has available for every Distributor in a few days.

I will be happy to answer any questions. Just give me a ring on 415-358-2406.

THIS IS IT!!  Reply with quote

I would like to start by echoing what was written above regarding the 7 golden rules. These are great guidelines for anyone looking for a real online business. And yes, Emerald Passport meets all of these criteria.

First, a little background. I have been self employed for the better part of my adult life. Mostly in the Home Improvement and Construction Industries. I love working for myself. Two years ago I decided I wanted to get in on all the money being made on the internet. So I found a company that would sell me a website, that I had to design and build. Set me up with a dropship source that had all of these great products that I could buy below wholesale. Then sell and make incredible profits. Well to make a long story short, it was a complete flop. The training and support that were supposed to be provided, were all but non existant. Not to mention that all of the product available, could be purchased by anyone for just slightly more than what I could buy them for. And there were hundreds if not thousands of sites trying to do the same thing. I lost many thousands of dollors to learn some valuable lessons. Enough about the past.

A few months ago I started to search again. I knew there had to be a way to tap into this internet marketing thing. After several weeks of searching and sifting I came across this program. Emerald Passport. At first, like alot of people, I thought, this is too good to be true. So I started researching. I talked to different distributors, went to the conference calls, and decided, This Is It! The product is phenominal. All I can say is, I wish I had this infomation 20 years ago. The marketing plan is second to none. The support and training provided is real, and ongoing. Someone is always there to help point me in the right direction. Whether they have a monetary interest in my success or not. Which to me says that this is not about signing people up to get their money, but to help people reach their financial dreams and goals. Show them how they can live the lives they have always wanted to, spend more time with their families, and not have the normal day to day worries that revolve around money.

I have only been active for a few weeks now. And am well on my way to earning my first commission. A $1000 commission. Is there another business that offers the product, the training, and the support, with the ability to earn $1000 per sale, without having to build a huge downline first. I haven't found one.

Listen, this is a real Business. It requires commitment, effort, and the willingness to learn. If you're looking for a pie in the sky, get rich quick for doing nothing "business", I wish you luck in your search. But if you're looking for a proven marketing system with unparalleled support and training. And you have a burning desire to impove you situation in life. Then you owe it to yourself and your family, to take a serious look at Emerald Passport.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me. 614-807-2483

Sincerely, Heath Roach

It's obvious that you haven't done your homework. The first 2 sales that anyone makes do not go to the company with Emerald Passport. They go to the person who sponsered you in. Therefore the commisions ARE PAID. And the money goes directly to that sponser first. Then that person sends the company the same amount that they get from every other sale. So Please, before crying scam, do some homework. Know what you are talking about. You might not like the the 2 up, but does that make it a scam?

It's detractors like GoldCostgirl that make this even better  Reply with quote

HI, I'm new to posting on this site (see my post on the what' wrong with EPI to see how I run my business with great success). But I love these type of challenges. I'd say 5 in every 100 leads I get insist that this is a scam. I have been able to successfully educate 4 of them. 2 are on my team now.

As I teach my distributors "You must ignore your detractors if you are to be successfull". All successfull people have detractors and they ingnored them to be successfull. The more successfull, the more detractors. It doesn't matter how above board you run your business either.

These type of people are simply too afraid to take matters into their own hands and take responsibility for their own success. So they take shots at those of us that are in control of our own destiny.

I live in New Orleans, and as we say to those that don't like crawfish, "THAT MEANS THERE'S MORE FOR ME!". I have to say I like proving these types wrong.

Thanks for those wise words. There are naysayers everywhere. Most of them afraid to make a change, or try something a little different. But can we keep doing the same thing, expecting different results? I want that control over my own destiny. And If I don't do it, nobodies going to do it for me. That's for sure.

Doing the same thing over and over  Reply with quote

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is one definition of insanity. If what you are doing doesn't work fix it, which means fix you.

As I tell my distributors, when are having a bad day, or having problems go in your bathroom and look in the mirror. the problem and the SOLUTION are looking back at you.

Keep at it everyone. This program works. If whay you are doing does not work CHANGE IT. I'm always experimenting with new things. We are in a fast pace, rapidly changing industry with lots of competiton. You must set yourself apart. It's contrarian thinking, but I've made millions using it over the years. I'm applying it to EPI and having results I would expect.

Okay Jim... I would have to respectfully 200% disagree with you since I feel that your post is aimed at alot of people especially including me (it seems) .....I seem to be the only one not blinded by the inherant flaws within Emerald Passport.. okay I'm not the only one ( here ) is a post by "Andrew" (near the bottom of the thread) who also sees its flaws.

I can say 100% that I am NOT too afraid to take matters into my own hands and take responsibility for my own success... that is exactly what I'm doing with Network Marketing. Exclamation

Just like they say on Jerry Springer: "You don't know me!" "Who do you think you are?" Laughing

I just choose not to be blind and end up "a battered spouse" in relation to any business opportunity. Wink

BTW.. I'd looooove for you to try and convince me that I'm wrong. Really.. honestly.. I am asking. It just that your business seems to be heavily influenced by recruits and recruiting more than retail sales... if you can sell the product retail at all (without recruiting)... plus whilst I understand the value of information products today... we are all suffering from information over-load (as such) therefore I would much prefer to sell something physical.. that I can see, feel, smell, taste and touch.. that I can consume.

None-the-less, please since you said you can convince us "nay-sayers" that we are wrong.. please give it a go with me. If you can convince me that your plan isn't a scam (well.. close to one).. then you can literally convince anyone as I stand right now.. I'm a challenge to convince. I'm not stubborn.. just feel that there is nothing you can say to convince me that Emerald Passport is close to a scam.

You came on here shouting "SCAM"! Now it's "close to scam". Which is it. If you don't like something, hey, that's fine. There certainly are allot of things I don't like. So I leave them alone. I don't go around trying to denounce every thing I don't agree with. I asked for some real proof, I still don't see it. So do us all a favor, leave it alone. You keep saying the same thing, with no evidence.

wow Goal Coast Girl - Your Feelings are showing  Reply with quote

Let's face it. Every program has it's detractors. All successfull entrpreneurs just ignore statements like GoldCostGirl Is making. I detect alot of emotion here.

But this site is about business, not feelings. Facts and evidence. But all opionions are welcome. Don't you love this country. You can have people trying to tell you that you are doing is wrong and prove them wrong.

I admit, when I first looked at a program like EPI, I had the same thoughts. But instead of "feeling" about it I did my due dilligence. It turns out that the company did not have a product with any real value in it so I passed on it. It was the VALUE in the EPI product that brought me into the program, and it was the candor of my director that made it believable.

And no, I cannot convice anyone to do this. I don't even try, I don't have to. I give my prospects ALL of the information and tell them they have to decide for themselves about the Biz Op. But I encourage them to do it based on all of the information, do it based on evidence and research not on some emotional post on an Internet site. Maybe GoldCostGirl is working for the competition. she does say she's in network marketing. Maybe she's losing prospects to EPI, who knows. It doesn't matter, because there are always detractors in any program. People that have had bad experiences or people that just don't beleive what they are seeing. All programs have strengths and weaknesses. This one is no different. But the strengths far outweight the weaknesses, and weaknesses can be fixed.

You have to work the the right kind of people to be successful. My distributors are learning to become wealthy from someone with a 7 figure net worth; wealth I accumulated in other business endeavors. The people that come into this program with me will have a different experience than if they enrolled with someone else. That's not to say that the program or the company is bad. It has more to do with the personal attention to detail they might receive. And let's face it, not everyone can become wealthy. There are all types that place barriers around themselves that keep them from realizing their potential.

Why is GoldCostGirl here posting all this "opinion" stuff. She says she is involved with network marketing. Is her program a "scam"? There are many good programs out there. You have to find the one that's right for you. But why go try to destroy credibility in a program in a forum such as this unless there is another agenda.

So GoldCoastGirl, no, I doubt I could convince you of anything other than I could show you exactly what I do to make the kind of money I'm making. You would have to convice yourself if EPI was right for you on your own. But I have substantial information that I would provide to show you the truthe including my bank statements, and phone numbers of my distributors. You ask them what they think. If you are really interested in the program send me an email at tunajim70@yahoo.com.

But you are excercising your right to choose not to do this. That's OK. I'm not blinded by the flaws, I awed by the positives, and the money I'm making. And I get alot of satisfaction showing others how to do it too. Entrepreneurs find way around all obstacles or flaws or whatever objections that some seem so intent on pointing out. Just show me a better Internet marketing system and you will have my attention.

In Response  Reply with quote

I'm saying "close to a scam" now because if it was a scam - it would be illegal (as someone rightly pointed out to me - I thank that person). Just that from all the information that has been presented to me (not just here - I was presented with PLENTY of information from another EPI distributor -- yes I did my due diligence therefore this is not just emotion speaking).

As for "proof"... mlmwatchdog.com is one. Then there is the post by the admin, Andrew, in another EMI thread (here) that shows its inherant flaws.

Exclamation I agree that now is the time to be in EMI as it hasn't become saturated yet. It is only when EMI saturates the market that it will start to not work. I also have a major problem (and so do most people) with the fact that my first two sales that I make (that I spent my time, money and effort making) go to my immediate sponsor.

If you choose not to pay the $1000+ then it will "cost" you your first FOUR sales (correct me if I am wrong - this information ccame from an EMI distributor).

It may seem amazing right now and it is.. those who get in now will make a killing (as "the heavy hitters" seem to be)...just that I'm worried about the long-term viability of this system. Sad

Question I'm also under the impression that this system must be hard for those who have limited resources of time and money (part timers or casuals) as it will seem to "take forever" to make the first two sales (spending only 5-10 hrs a week "working" the business)... how is this encouraging ?

Exclamation EMI is not right for me and I just wanted to make sure people are aware of how EMI is treading in unsafe waters (being close to a scam - using a 2 Up compensation plan).

Plus.. being an Australian... some of your "information products" aren't even relevant to me therefore I will be purchasing products that are useless to me and the market I'm aiming for/at (Australia)... why would someone in Australia want to pay near $1300 AUD (that's the rough conversion of the USD price) for a whole bunch of information that isn't 100% relevant to the person.

Great for the US market... hopeless for the rest of the world. That's all. Sad

So.. I agree.. get in now with EMI if you so want to spend that type of money (plus the money you will be spending trying to get your two "qualify-ing sales and finally be able to make some profit)... just that there are other less expensive yet as good quality network marketing ventures around. Cool

My opinion. That is all. You are allowed to disagree with it. No biggie Wink

goldcoastgirl makes some good comments here that are relevant. They in no way indicate that EPI (not EMI) is a scam. It is part of our business model. The 2 up reverse margin system is very powerfull for producing income. It also gives heavy incentive to the directors to train and mentor their new distributors properly because they get the 2 qualifying sales.

Any director worth their salt will help the distributor in any way they can to help them get going quickly. I even front leads to new distributors strapped for cash but that have the proper motivation and have put their money on the line. It's a win-win, the director makes more money NOW and the new distributor get's into the money faster.

I would much rather make my money today with a company that is happening today than to waite, build a long and large "downline" and Hopefully get some significant "residual" income in the furture. Most would agree that getting paid now for work now is appropriate. And getting paid before the company makes this very powerfull and attractive indeed.

We've seen these MLM's come and go, leaving people with large downline investments high and dry. So much for long term viability. With our comp system, you are getting paid now for your investment now thus minimizing your risk for the unknown future that no one can predict.

What are we going to do when the market gets saturated? Well there's 100 million users on the Internet today and the home based business market is Booming because of the changes in the US workplace. But if the biz op flames out, then we sell just the product. No problem at all because the Value is there. Again this is thing is a win-win.

EPI is not even close to scam, so don't insinuate that it is without providing proof. Unfortunately there have been and probably will be more scams that use the 2 up or 1 up or 4 up comp plan, thus creating some concern for people. But when this comp plan goes along with a company that is debt free and has great products, it makes it possible to make real money. And I'm not a founding member. I just started 9 weeks ago. As of today I have now made $23,000. Some scam!

But this is a serious business for serious people only. If you want to stock vitamins in your basement, this is NOT for you. If you want to work 5 hours a week, this is NOT for you. But if you want to work 20-40 hours a week and make serious money, this MAY be for you. Get all of the information to figure that out for yourself.
