Sorry if proper etiquette is to search forums before asking but Ill go ahead.
Im 20 yrs old, have never financed anything but my credit report pulls up something about a cable bill and I KNOW I have got 2/3 medical bills lately that havent been paid on but, I dont know if theyre on my credit or not.
With the cable bill, someone put the cable in my name without my knowledge and I was only 17 at the time. To my point... I want to be able to finance a motorcycle within the next couple of years and I need to know if it is possible to finance one with my credit or should I do something to establish credit somewhere before I even try. ALL info will be appreciated.

To clarify what you need to do, I'll identify for you the two issues:
1) inaccurate information on a credit report
2) identity theft
The first issue is dealt with by disputing the charge with the credit agencies reporting it on your credit report. You need to show proof of 1) you are who you say you are and 2) that the item on the report is not accurate.
Since both items you need to dispute arise from issue #2, you need to prove what you say happened, probably hard to do at this remove unless the police were involved at the time and you have police reports and records to verify what you say. Being a minor at the time also complicates the situation because according to law, you're not responsible at that age, either. You might approach the cable company with your problem and see if their records will support your story of someone else putting it in your name without your knowledge. Normally those conversations are recorded if done over the phone, but I don't know how long they're kept.
The medical bills aren't material to the issues here; you don't need to bring them into it.
I would definitely want you to clear this BEFORE you apply for credit or try to finance anything because it will have a HUGE impact on your financing costs or whether you can even get financing.
For more research, I'd suggest googling on "dispute credit report" and "identity theft"
Best wishes and good luck; let us know how you make out.

What if I paid the cable bill off over time? (its possible my mom might have got it in my name or something, I just dont remember). Aside from disputing and identity theft which might not work, how much of an impact on my credit would a $1600 bill make? Could I also dispute the amount owed? Also, can a 17 yr old even get something added to his credit?

Paying it off won't offset the negative impact on your credit score. Only getting if OFF your credit report will do that. Sorry.

Considering identity theft, it can be possible. But, why don't you ask your mom first about this matter? If she's the one who have got it in your name, then there's nothing to worry about identity theft. With regards to your credit score, of course, it will have a big impact on your credit report. Well, I think you must start working on or paying off the bill before it's too late.

Following are some ways by which you can establish credit from scratch:
* Open a bank account. This will not appear on your credit report, but bank account numbers are often requested on credit applications.
* Apply for a credit card. To avoid being denied credit, apply only for those cards whose requirements you are likely to meet. Department store or gas credit cards are usually easier to obtain than a bank-issued card with a Visa or MasterCard logo. Before applying, make sure the creditor reports account activity to the credit bureaus. As the purpose of obtaining the card is to establish credit, you want to choose a card that will help you do that. If you want to get a Visa or MasterCard, ask at the bank or credit union at which you have your account.

Hi,
A card issued by a financial company giving the holder an option to borrow funds, usually at point of sale. Credit cards charge interest and are primarily used for short-term financing. Interest usually begins one month after a purchase is made and borrowing limits are pre-set according to the individual's credit rating.
Thanks...

Do you know who stole your identity. It is a crime and they can be prosecuted for identity theft and you will be able to remove this from your credit report.
