Peer to Peer Loans  Reply with quote

Has anyone here gotten a loan from any of the peer to peer lending sites out there?

i got an unsecured loan from prosper for my busineess (tax prep) for $20,000 for only 8.75%. That was much better than anything any of my local banks would offer!

In your case you got the money, but I can't imagine anyone giving it to you.

That's your problem, it's just the way I see peer to peer loans, extremely high risk for the lender. It has nothing to do with you personally, just the lenders. If you snagged one, more power to you.

Hi,

As far as I have heard about peer to peer landing which is also known as P2P Loans, as there should not be any problem occur during borrowing money from others through sites.

Borrowers can recieve better interest rates and also it is good for investers to yeild better returns.

So, it is good for using such sites for such investments.

Thanks!

I've just hearing about peer to peer loans recently. What do any of you know about it either as an investment or in using as an alternative to bank loans?

As i know Creditworthy Borrowers create listings for fixed rate personal loans. Lenders looking for a better return and greater transparency invest in individual Americans. P2P Loans are very risky and many people don't opt for this type of loan.

P2P loans were a new concept to me as well, but after doing some work to find out more, it appears they should be considered as a last resort?

I would agree that peer to peer lending is quite risky, especially those done in the net. There is often no guarantee on the loaner's part that he will be able to get the money back.
