If it's business travel, I'll suggest a card with a cash rebate.

American Express has a lot of point programs. Free tickets are part of the package. Check that out if you have an Amex.

I recently became aware of the Chase Sapphire card, and am wondering whether to make a switch to it from my other Chase credit cards.

I use a United Mileage Plus card (for personal purchases) and a Marriott Rewards card (for business purchases). I happen to like these travel companies, and if I have the chance to blow some points on travel, I am happy to use United and Marriott. But I am not dedicated to these companies to the exclusion of others.

Uses of your travel card- this is one aspect that is overlooked by many people. They often do not choose a travel card which can be used for all the needs. Also make sure that you travel advance plan can be used in as many countries as possible. This will allow you to accumulate points in the same plan and redeem them soon.

Credit card consolidation loans are just one of several effective ways to help you get out of debt and back into the green.

It used to be that the best one was the AA Citibank family of cards. Mostly because you could churn them to get the bonus a couple of times a year.

I was never a heavy duty churner, but still got a couple of hundred thousand miles over a few years just with bonuses.

Personally, I think that cards that are not tied to a particular airline are good. Not a big fan of cash back cards because most of them have a 1% limit on most purchases, and the 2% to 5% limits are for only some categories. I don't like to think that much when I am pulling a card to pay at the gas station.

For travel card Starwood AMEX was already mentioned, and I think is the best due to the transfer flexibility and bonus.

Others I like are the Citi Thank You Premier, and the Capital One that Alec Baldwin was pushing last year. I got them both with big signing bonuses, and I get 2 cents per dollar to be used against travel expenses.

Guess a little SPAM revamped this post from 2009 Wink

But since we're on the subject, the best card for travel rewards will really depend on your personal travel needs and objectives. If you frequent a particular airline, then you can probably earn the most by using a specific airline credit card. But if you'd like more flexibility, then a more generic travel reward card might be better.

Lots of different options to choose from. You just need to evaluate all the benefits of each offer and figure out which one works best for you...

Hi  Reply with quote

Finding the best credit card for travel is not a difficult process. Because all travel credit cards that are available today provide some rewards to its users like discounts, free stays in hotels etc.. Foreign transaction fees is the key drawback to using credit cards when you are travel in foreign countries. But some of the credit card companies are charging those fees with reasonable rates. If you keep all the above things in your mind, you will be able to choose the best credit cared for travel rewards.
